110s coz that's the dance you were after @Zorral

Ya, it was.

Something that I began noticing while watching some films, is how often I think I know the gist of what the characters are saying.  I wonder then, if that's due to our languages truly sharing ancestry, no matter how far we go, whereas with tonal languages such as those from China or Africa, I don't feel that.  Or -- just because of the vast efforts of the Brits to make English The Language?

Babylon is not at all the movie I thought (for some reason I thought it was a remake of the German TV show 'Babylon Berlin'). But it looks great.

My cousin worked on that film. He said it was the best set he's ever worked on. Very much the opposite of Don't Worry Darling.

Take the word mother for instance, its same in nearly all the major languages

I am noticing more the cadences, the rhythms, the inflections, and even body language here, rather than specific words, since words like mother, as you point out, are so much resembling each other across Asia and Europe.

Wow, they're actually making this. Been shopped around for almost two decades. First Johnny Depp had the rights but couldn't get the project under way, then Russel Crowe got a hold of it. Had to share this with a friend and she was giddy with excitement, plus it helped she loooves Charlie as the lead. I hope his Aussie accent is good.
