Is anyone else seeing the online reports that Lauren Boebert worked as a paid escort at one time and having two abortions during that period? Apparently this is how she met Ted Cruz who then encouraged her to run for Congress.

I've seen the abortion gossip not about the escorting.  Did Cruz convince her to run with some pillow talk after a night of escorting?  Oh those GOP family values.

Edit: ah, shit, it’s starting.

And its hypotheticals they are running off on for at least 3 pages.

What has stayed with me most vividly from Monday's hearing is Bill Barr finding all this a big joke.  He smirked, he even laughed.  He sneered coz he was smarter than the dumpster fire, which he knew was on fire always, yet voted for him and supported him, while laughing all the while up his sleeve -- at us.  He's still doing it.  A weaponized coup of the US of A, with murder, rape and hanging barely averted, though some did indeed die, and many others were seriously hurt?  A most splendid joke, a great joke, hahaha.  It was wild.  It was crazy -- same lingo as the dumpster fire used that very day.

Remember when Rep Loudermilk denied he was giving tours prior to Jan 6?

Well, the committee released another video...

Trigger warning: threatening language, mostly towards women

Surveillance footage shows a tour led by Loudermilk to areas in the House Office Buildings, as well as the entrances to Capitol tunnels. Individuals on the tour photographed/recorded areas not typically of interest to tourists: hallways, staircases and security checkpoints.

Let's just say my expectations are low...

Btw, according to the WP, more than 100 Republicans who've won their primaries support the Big Lie.

PS: For Democrats (mostly), they're not bad at messaging wrt the hearings...

PPS: I'd really like to know why today's meeting had to be postponed.

I'm sure nothing can go wrong with this strategy.

Democrat Super PACs sinking big money into GOP primary

Republican candidates that thus far have shown an inability to fundraise are getting support from the most unlikely of sources: Democrat Super PACs. (...) In theory, electing a more far-right candidate in the Republican primary could make it easier on Democrat Sen. Michael Bennet and Democrat Gov. Jared Polis in the statewide general election.

... The ads in the races are scheduled to run through June 28, Election Day in the Republican primary. Super PAC Democratic Colorado is believed to be dumping almost $800,000 into the Senate race, while another Super PAC, Colorado Information Network, is contributing almost $700,000 in the governor’s race.

Meanwhile...

"No Labels" a 501(c)4, has quietly raised over $50 mil this year to get its namesake on the ballot as a 3rd party in all 50 states in case there's a Trump/Biden rematch. So far they've made it on 5 states & have done polling on a Manchin/Murkowski ticket

Surely nobody even remotely attached to the left would vote for Joe Manchin in a Presidential election, unless they were lobotomized first.

No, they'd take some ofthe so-called moderate vote, and then when the Reps won, blame the Dems for being too left-wing, radical etc! Duh! Radical communist Biden!

ETA: basically what the post above mine said

Prolly becoz they knew the Fed’s large interest rate hike today would overshadow everything else in the news.

Herschel Walker's campaign confirms he has a second child

https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/15/politics/herschel-walker-child/index.html

(CNN)The campaign of Herschel Walker publicly acknowledged this week that the Republican Senate candidate has a second son with a woman who was not his wife.

The Georgia GOP nominee's admission follows a Tuesday report in the Daily Beast that Walker fathered a son more than a decade ago. The Beast reported it had confirmed the identity of the boy and the mother, and that the mother had sued Walker in order to obtain a declaration of paternity and child support. According to the report, Walker was ordered to pay child support starting in 2014.

Walker, who is challenging Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock in one of the country's key Senate races this year, speaks frequently about Christian Walker, the son he and his ex-wife had together and raised along with Walker's current wife.
Walker has publicly criticized absentee fathers, particularly in Black families.

Red mirage. R's mostly voted in person, D's went the mail in route. Mail in ballots were counted *after* the other ballots. This was widely discussed before the election.

But again, weirdly, that Wednesday vote only happened primarily in states where Trump was leading Tuesday night, by close margins, with enough electoral votes.  That same magnitude shift didn't happen in states that Biden was leading Tuesday night, or in states that Trump was going to win outright.  Why is that, do you think?

Maybe just random happenstance.

I can see why more people would vote this time around for the super talented and incorruptable senator from MBNA than for anyone else in history.  Who also promised to end fossil fuels, leading to enormous gas increases, inflation, unemployment, weakened national security, and soon to come food insecurity. Sounds like a popular platform to me.

I know we should never underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up, but at some point, it's no longer just an accident.  We're ruled by people that want to eliminate or subjugate us.  Take away our fuel, bleed us for food costs, and take away our weapons.  It's not tyranny if it's for the common good perhaps.
