maarsen
Judging by the Kansas referendum results, I would be hesitant to forecast any major gains by the idiotic right. In any race. It seems Americans have not gone completely over to the dark side.

Zorral
Quote For context, the more than $49 million in total damages Jones has been ordered to pay is roughly 75 percent of the nearly $65 million Infowars had in revenue last year. Earlier this year, a jury in California ordered Bill Cosby to pay $500,000 in compensatory damages, but no punitive damages, to a woman he was found to have sexually assaulted decades earlier. In Virginia, a jury awarded Johnny Depp $15 million in compensatory and punitive damages (caps required by state law caused the total to drop to $10.35 million), while Amber Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages in response to the ex-spouses’ dueling defamation claims. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2022/08/05/us/alex-jones-trial-sandy-hook Immediately the lawyers appealed this, They Say. He really should not be allowed to walk away from this though. It should be like student loan debt or fines from sentences. They should be taking it out of his Social Security. If there's one lesson that America has been trying to teach the world for the last seven years it's that idiots are dangerous. Especially if you threaten their ill-gotten gains. The families that sued him deserve state protection from this man's deranged followers, and if anyone in this country cared about preempting even more school shootings in response to this he'd hang from a gibbet by midnight. There's a lot of reasons to believe his bankruptcy is complete bullshit and he may have committed fraud while hiding his wealth. He absolutely comes across as the type that would leave a paper trail on his phone and maybe they can nail him that way.
