Since the old one was closed and no new one was opened.

FDJ to Chelsea seems to be happening.

Barca also seems closer to removing Depay's salary from the books - Juve are interested, things could move rather quick now.

american pulisic to newcastle is being bandied about. a loan w option to buy I'd be interested.

he's a tireless worker who would fit really well in the system howe likes to play and he can bag a goal. and we need more goal scorers. our defense will be tight all season but i worry about losing points to 1-0  and 1-1 matches.

It has always seemed to me that the executives of La Liga have set their representatives up for success in the Big Cup.  Their scheduling is already favorable in comparison to the English league, for instance, with fewer games on the calendar, and then they will re-arrange fixtures to give their teams better preparation time for the finals and semis.

Even setting aside that West Ham are by no means a boring team or unskilled, Moyes isn't particularly representative of the general management in the league right now. You pretty much have to ignore everyone from Wolves and Leicester through Brighton and Brentford down to Leeds, all of whom and others are pass-focused teams. Even someone like Villa who aren't necessarily a possession team are pretty damn aggressive.

Think Arhletic podcast mentioned today that 17 of teams in the prem last year predominantly played out from the back ( Burnley being obvious exception) there has definitely been an evolution of style from the lesser prem teams who are basically competing with top Italian and Spanish teams for players

Yeah, you have the odd Mourinho team in it, but which team provides better football on the pitch. West Ham or Sevilla?

Yeah, compare the club that plays in Champions League on a regular basis and has won Europa League multiple times on one side and West Ham on the other.

Better equivalent for Sevilla in PL would be Chelsea, and Sevilla doesn't come out that well in that one, do they?

Is Rashford even good enough for the bench at PSG?

Yes.

No chance he gets into the starting XI with Neymar, Messi and Mbappe but after them PSG are not exactly flush with world class players up front. Di Maria has left and they want to get rid of Icardi too. Rashford would be a backup along with Sarabia and Ekitike.

I doubt he leaves in this window though. United's transfer dealings have been a disaster and we are not capable of signing replacements. But he has one year left on his contract with the club having the option to extend for a further year so he has leverage and could leave next year or demand a nice pay rise to extend. The latter is more likely although if United were a well run club, we'd sell him.

Not sure signing Rashford is going to do anything to rectify that.

It doesn't need to be rectified. PSG has a world class front 3. It's not easy to get world class players who would accept riding the bench behind Mbappe, Messi and Neymar. So decent backups are the alternative and Rashford is that – he's certainly no worse than what PSG currently have in Sarabia and Ekitike. Comparisons to Welbeck are foolish – Rashford is a much better player than Welbeck ever was.

Yeah, you're definitely right in that regard.

I was merely coming from the angle of an Arsenal fan baulking at the mere mention of signing another former Man United Bright Young Thing whose best days are probably behind them.

Having said that, Erik the Bald will be bonkers to let him leave.
