Overdrive sure is pretty in the right places. I'm running DLSS Balanced at 4K and am at about  50FPS. I know DLSS Performance will get to 60 FPS, but not a lot of difference for some visual loss,I guess. I could get more with frame gen, but as my monitor isn't a gaming monitor, screen tearing starts kicking in and I find it more annoying. Maybe I'll get a second monitor for gaming some day...

It's subtle changes from RTX Psycho in some cases, but the whole is generally a more realistic lighting. There are spots where you can see that it doesn't quite work because they have material and shader setups in some places that were aimed at rasterized lighting that falter when path traced lighting is enabled. For example, the nightclub Empathy, there are dancers who look great with regular RTX or RTX off, who look really odd when path tracing is enabled, sort of all washed out. I'm not sure if they'll spend time and effort fixing those spots to make sure the characters like that react right to path tracing or not, but it's pretty rare.

Pleased to hear you got it working! Some of us are having CTDs/game not loading, even after this morning's small 3Mb patch to try and resolve that issue. No real issues on your end when initially trying to run the game?

The only thing I'm getting is that when I start the game, a window pops up about not having permission to create a directory. But the game runs fine regardless.

Ok that's...that's a new one! WTF CDPR.

I don't know if you've been reading the Steam forums, but a considerable number of players have reported an inability to play the game post both the Big Patch and this morning's 3Mb fix - myself included.

But you've actually managed to produce an error different from the one I've seen! Which...uh...con...grats? I think? :D

Kinda jealous, as I was hoping to see what the game looked like. Have uninstalled the game now instead, pending a future fix from the studio.

CDPR's Cyberpunk 2077 account on Twitter woke up to say that in June they're going to start ramping up talking about Phantom Liberty, beginning with Summer Game Fest where journalists and content creators will get some hands-on time with the DLC. They're promising more opportunities for the general public at a later date.

Live tour that will allow attendees to check out Phantom Liberty.

Also saw a report that CDPR says that next year they'll start assigning developers to very early pre-production and research for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.

Where is my Hawkeye "don't give me hope" gif when I need it?!

If you believe the various leaks, Phantom Liberty is due to drop in August or September, which would be a pretty nice turnaround (though in the latter case it may by vying with Starfield for the Massive SF RPG views).

But I want it NOW!

But seriously, it looks pretty good so far. I am suspecting that the previews are exaggerating the extent of the changes to the base game, but I am fine with less. The only not mentioned, that I would like to see, is more cosmetics with regards to visible cyberware.

I think the skill tree/perk changes are legit sounding pretty significant. Relic points sounded interesting but in a more narrow way, super-charging cybernetics.

RPS also has an article, focusing on the FPS gun mechanics feeling bit meatier.

Some more impressions, with an added note that quest designer Pavel Sasko (who has been a great emissary for CDPR, talking to fans via his Twitch livestreams) is part of the group moving to the US base of operations for CDPR with the intention of starting work on a CP2077 sequel.

Ditto.

Looks like people seem to have it confirmed that the DLC will provide additional possible endings to the game, as well. I wonder how re-vamped the fight with Adam Smasher will be, too? Always felt like by the time I got to him I could just drop him with little trouble, but that was because the power curve of the game was rather out of whack and it sounds like they've tried to rebalance things.

ETA: Someone on the LowSodiumCyberpunk Reddit has tried to put together a short run-down of all the changes (while noting that the changes are just all from the update that comes from the DLC, and even people without the DLC will get them)
