I read "A Game of Thrones" and "A Clash of Kings" shortly after their initial releases, but was then pulled away by life's responsibilities and nearly forgot about Westeros until 2011, when the show came out. By this time it had been a decade since I had read the books, so my memory of things was near nonexistent. After the series ended I finally decided to read through the series, and oh how I wish I had read them before. Now, a few years, two read-throughs of the main series (as well as everything else associated with it), and I finally feel comfortable posting here after years of lurking as a guest. Look forward to chat about theories, real history that inspired the series, or just the beautiful way GRRM has shared this wonderful world with us.
