Jaxom 1974
It's always a good day when the Brewers lose. To the Cubs. After blowing a lead. KingintheNorth4
Argonath Diver
So it's been a pretty downer season for the Cardinals faithful, that's for sure. Mozeliak asking for fan's "patience" weeks ago - and going like .300 since - really grinds my gears.
Jaxom 1974
Having been able to go to today's Cubs/Brewers game at the stadium formerly known as Miller Park (damn the Brewers)...I gotta say you don't really appreciate the positive effect the pitch clock has made on the game until you're at a ball field. It's been good for viewing (when the MLB isn't blacking out its product, mind you), but the pace just felt comfortable and smooth with the pitch clock. Yeah, you gotta pay more attention if you want to follow the game, but that's not an issue for folks who actually want to follow the game... Ramsay B.
In the least surprising result of the night Taillon comes back to the Bronx with his roughly 7 era and gives up a single hit in 8 innings.
Nictarion
Elly De La Cruz stole 2nd, 3rd, and Home in the same inning today. The Reds are now 23-7 since bringing him up. Kid is a franchise altering talent. Ramsay B.

Jaxom 1974
Who's not ready for a third generation in baseball this soon...?
Argonath Diver
Cecil and Prince Fielder were among the first recognizable people I met. (In this case, just saw and didn't communicate with). They were at a Reservation casino in Iowa at a Blackjack table just near mine. Prince was either just past 21 or close to it and already gigantic. Cecil was a huge dude also. The elder was clearly into the blackjack and Prince was 100% checked out; they weren't audibly arguing but it was really obvious that the younger had zero interest in a sleepy casino in Tama Iowa. I have no idea what they were doing out there, but I loved Cecil when he was a Blue Jay and never approached him due to their awkward interactions. I'd actually completely forgotten about seeing those two until the Prince-and-son mention. Man he kicked the crap out of the Cardinals for a few years. Tywin et al.
Ohtani is leading the league in HRs, is third in RBIs and fourth in strikeouts. This dude is the best player ever.

Arakasi
Some weird stories coming out about Wander Franco. I guess we’ll see but it’s odd how the Rays season has tumbled from that huge win streak to start the year.

There are very few things I'm petty about as an adult when it comes to sports, but seeing either the Packers or White Sox suck ass does still give me a bit of joy. And looking at the AL East standings is hilarious. What the hell happened there?
