Well, the poll is certainly credible, and not even a fluke.  This is the third poll this month that shows Franken down by 3.  So..it seems as if he has a good chance to only lose by three.  In terms of chances to win, I'd say these polls drop Grassley from, like, 99% to 90%.

I think I've been seeing polling for longer than a month that has shown that Grassley was unlikely to win by the overwhelming percentages he has won in the past. Enough Iowans seem to think he is just too old to be running again to lower his winning percentage. But no one really expects him to lose.

I have been perusing the comments sections in articles pertaining to the early voting. More and more, I wonder about the republican/conservative posters.

First, their basic grammar is horrible. Now, I am no grammar expert, and I don't mind the occasional typo or misspelled word, but about half of their posts are on a par with the scribblings of my six-year-old grandson (who is reading at the 2nd-3rd grade level).

Second, there is complete hostility to *any* form of absentee voting - with some of them insisting this 'no-exceptions' policy be applied even to the military. (Saner R's dispute them on this.) States that already do all or most voting via the mail - well, that needs to be completely stamped out straightaway.

Third, is the absolute conviction that the democrats are using early voting to cheat. One especially memorable (and incoherent) post cited Abrams, Gore, and Soros as the architects of this scheme. Others cited '2000 mules' as proof of democratic party election fraud. Also present is an insistence that dead democrats are voting.

The Dead Kennedys made music, while dead Democrats voted.

Yes, I just wanted to randomly insert the Dead Kennedys into a discussion, any discussion.

The Voting Dead Democrats, I'll reserve judgement until I hear their debut album.

My confusion is why encouraging people to vote would be a bad idea?

I have non-issue telling a Republican voters, if they complain about their choices for an election to not waste their time voting and to stay home.  Doesn't happen often, but I'd do it.

Super early, but this seems like a good sign.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, however, the turnout and share of mail vs. in person voting would be really helpful. If you had likesay 1.000 mail in ballots, than winning those by 28% would be preferable to winning 100 mail in ballots by 36%

Here you go.  The Nevada SOS page isn't listing results on its page yet.

You can also do a deep dive of the numbers on this blog: https://thenevadaindependent.com/article/the-early-voting-blog-2022

Important caveat here is that there are only 3 days of data, so there is enough in there to please (or give anxiety attacks) for both D's and R's.

IMO it is looking more and more like 2022 is going to be a slightly worse version of 2020 for Dems.  Which, considering they hold the WH and Congress in a midterm, is actually historically very good.  But probably not good enough to avoid losing the House, some governors races and maybe the Senate as well.

This seems like not a great sign of the universe. That's some very unilateral behaving, that is.

Thomas is responsible for emergency appeals from the 11th Circuit.  Just as Barrett is for the 7th circuit and last week unilaterally denied an emergency appeal to block Biden's student loan program.  The order is temporary, and now Thomas can either refer it to the whole court or make a final decision unilaterally.
