I wasn't born in Florida, never been there and not interested in going.  Thanks to the Simpsons I learned all I needed to know.

Oh, did I steal one of your jokes?

The Simpsons were wrong on this. Florida is not America's wang. It is not....

It's more like America's appendix. No, not because it's close to sh...But look at it this way, Florida is not particularly useful, and with a red infection a danger to entire body. (191).

Grasping at straws, are we?  The Simpsons had it right all along.

200 was too ambitious a target. I mean, I'd have needed 6-7 Florida jokes a day, had I started at the very beginning of the month. I started a few days later, and I am at a pace of 3 Florida jokes, and I am really forcing/squeezing them in. In terms of quality, it's really a quantity thing. And even the obvious sacrificing of quality for quantity will only get me in the 90-100 Florida joke range.

I’m aware.

How this is happening now though, after speaking with Putin, subsequent outages of Starlink over Ukraine, Twitter, his lies…

The US has gotten sloppy.

The US has gotten sloppy.

First, Musk spoke to Zelensky when Zelensky became a global hero and tried to suck up to him.

Then, a few months later, he tried to extort the US government, and backed down.

The bottom line is that the US government needs competition in this service with Lockheed Martin and Boeing and all the rest.

Musk's idiosyncracies, opportunism, and attention-seeking behavior are just small potatoes.  I don't deny he has successfully cozened a bunch of municipal officials/governors etc., but that behavior has been widely reported now.

I hope he buys so many things so many people took for granted that one day we all look around and realize no one knows from whom to collect one specific payment <in the amount of $1,378> that has to be paid to one specific creditor at one imminent hour or else the entire system shatters!

And no one pays!

And the economy collapses!

Smiles, handjobs, and irregular pebbles become the currency of the land.

Nobody knows who to blame

Nobody knows who to call

American society devolves!

The military apparati have guns, communications, DISCIPLINE and FUEL

They hole up on their bases.

Air sorties by blackhawk helicopters and A-10 Warthogs keep the roads mostly clear!

The power works sometimes!

The Airforce keeps the nukes safe. We better prioritize the airforce!

But the Navy has a lotta nukes too! They get deprioritized by agreeing to prioritization of Airforce on basis of nuclear maintenance but lock themselves into 2nd bannana status... classic powerbottom Navy technique. Try to undermine the Airforce at final tribal council.

Army becomes subsidiary of Airforce. Marines is already a subsidiary of Navy.

It'll be fun!
