That goes doubly for all you other cowards! First, excellent Dodgeball clip. Second, if I can't even make the slightest commitment to a woman, why in the world would you think I'd ever commit to your silly game? Only thing I'm committed to is my 14 month old niece, and that's because she makes monster noises that are both awe inspiring and worthy of respect. James Arryn
I’d forgotten what beating the Cowboys is like. Now I get to watch hours of round tables and pieces about the game in which the commentators insist on occasionally mentioning that the Niners were on the field when most of the bad things that happened to the Cowboys transpired. Some even imply the Niners were one of the factors that lead to Dallas losing, though that’s kept to a bare minimum. DMC
Saw there was a lot of trash talking on social media - shocker! My favorite was Richard Sherman's burn: Also, Charles Omenihu arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges. Not good asshole. In my pick em with friends, I'm 8/8 picking the moneylines and 9/10 straight up (missed Bills no show yesterday). Which is a good showing, but I'm not that far ahead - everyone is picking pretty well. What's the difference between money line and straight up for this? In the money line pickem do you basically just get 100 points to bet based on money line odds? Is that even a thing? I woke up yesterday, checked Betstamp app. Huge rec for that by the way. Only three online books in CT, but now I always get the best price. Which turns my sports betting from loser to less loser but that's like a win without winning. Anyway, saw Bengals were a point dog and so smashed the money line at -102. (Smashing it meaning I'll win two to three football sunday personal bar tabs. That should be a betting unit.) Waiting to see how the Mahomes ankle news impacts things the rest of the week. If it's a Chad Henne start for sure I may the Chiefs if I can get over 4 pts and root for that creamy middle. Hit 2.5 briefly today but went back down.

We do different games every year. This year we're doing straight up (50 points each game) and moneyline (what you would get back if you bet $100 on one team in each matchup). So for the Buffalo-Cincy game, I picked buffalo straight up, but since I thought Cincy had a good chance, I liked their moneyline of $285 more than Buffalo's $150. mcbigski
Rhom
During the Niners/Cowboys game, a stat popped up that they are now tied for the most playoff match ups in NFL history at 9 times. One would think the natural follow up to that would be "They are tied with the XXXX and XXXX." But of course they did not. This left me wondering all week and asking other people who they thought it might be. It was tough because you need to have two teams that have made the playoffs a ton of times for a long time. So someone suggested the Steelers and Pats, but that was obviously not it because the Pats weren't good until 20 years ago. Finally, I turn to the Google machine and find a reddit list from just before last year's playoffs. Let me see if I can make this click baity enough: Cowboys and Niners have met the most times... but you'll never believe who else is in the same category... (If only there was some way I could fit in, "NFL officials hate this one simple trick... but they can't stop you..." Reminder, this is from before last year. So as of the making of this list; the Niners and Cowboys had faced off 7 times. 5th) 49ers: Packers & Giants (8) T-3rd) Giants: Bears, Packers, & 49ers (8) T-3rd) Packers: Giants, Cowboys, & 49ers (8) T-1st) Cowboys: Rams (9) T-1st) Rams: Cowboys (9) So I literally never would have guessed that the answer was Cowboys v Rams. briantw
The QB situation in Indy makes it tough to really evaluate Reich as a head coach. Was he the problem? Or was the problem that his QBs the past few years have been backups and cast-offs? The team certainly didn't look any better after he was fired. The Colts were 3-5-1 this year with Reich and 1-7 with Saturday, including a seven game losing streak to close out the season.
Maithanet
It's fair to say that it's still TBD on whether Reich can be a good coach, although there are other coaches available like Bienamy and WIlks that are pretty clearly more qualified. Saturday on the other hand, never should have gotten the interim job to start with, did poorly with the job when he had it, and should not even be under consideration for the full time gig. The Colts were pretty clearly getting worse as the season went on. Wilbur

The Colts were pretty clearly getting worse as the season went on. I like Bienamy and have been surprised that he hasn't gotten a head gig yet; but do we really know he is more qualified? Reich has been a head coach and did win previously. Biemamy is a great assistant coach to one of the best coaches of this generation. That doesn't always translate. (But he absolutely deserves a chance to show that he can or can't.) I had no issue with Saturday as an interim. What qualifications do you really need to be an interim and babysit a franchise for a few months? But yes, he objectively is not the best option to be the full time coach. Maithanet
Bienamy has been the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs since 2018. During that time, the Chiefs offense has been the most productive offense in NFL history over a 5 year span, ever. If that doesn't make you qualified for an nfl head coaching job, I don't know what possibly could. Sure, he might not end up being a good head coach, but that is true of every head coach ever hired. Whether you go with a great coordinator, a successful college head coach, or a former head coach, history is littered with examples of guys who don't work out. But Bienamy is so qualified, it is increasingly embarrassing to the NFL that he hasn't gotten a head coaching spot. EDIT: On Saturday, he was not qualified to be an interim coach. Usually interim coaches are pulled from within because they know the team and the players and can provide stability. Saturday was not. Saturday had no NFL coaching experience of any kind. His coaching resume was 3 middling years at a small prep school. That's it. That's not good enough to take the chair, even for just half a season. If you want your team to be competitive and your rookies to develop, you need someone at the top who actually knows WTF they're doing.
