-Um, none of this happens. He never goes to MC or the Twins until the end of the war and the beginning of the Northern Theater. (He becomes engaged to Fat Walda around the time of his conversation with Jaime, so the prelude to the Northern Theater)

-Roose retreats to random boulevard and Trident Lane, no real fixed address for a raven to find him at the start of the war.

The middle of the war is just shooting dice, telling ghost stories, making smores. Roose is still camping on random lane, waiting for his move. But still, no fixed address, just somewhere along the water.

-However at this time, even if Roose was somehow in communication with ravens his son was reeking in jail.

He always had Freys with him, then he was reinforced by more who immediately weaseled his ear.

But Frey was always there, they were a pretty large part of Robbs army. Nowadays theyre everywhere too.

Everything about this was Ramsay

This is the work of a cowboy, not Machivelli.

Roose is the type of guy who thinks writing letters and trading barbs with the Kingslayer is politics, Ramsay thinks it's fear.

Kidnapping a highborn lady, raping her, flaying her and torturing her so bad until she begs for her fingers to be ripped apart is not something Roose would order. It's hot, alarming and bound to cause pushback which Ramsay calls "good"

And honestly, when Ramsay asks for reprimanding Roose says "not at all" because he knows who butters his biscuit

How? From the Red Fort to the Winterfell cells?

-And what does the letter say? Conquer fucking Winterfell? Ramsay fought Rodrik 10 to 1 and then had the gates opened up to him. You expect Roose to write this out? It's an insane plan, one that can only be thought of on the fly.

I dont think he did.

Roose took on Tywins full force and Gregor had some troubles in the battle actually. Tyrion almost died.

What time? The enemy was at Theons gate and if Ramsay didn't hurry Winterfell would be fully garrisoned in Stark hands

If Jaime told him to suck a dick Roose would have snitched out the RW and arrested Ramsay on behalf of his king Robb.

But Jaime didn't, so Roose became warden of the north

-b.s literaly says  post battle he 'reforms his men at the causeway and retreats to moat catlin theb goes to the twins to marry fat walda'  then he goes to harrenhall and stays for some time. Hes also have time to send ravens after the battle to inform ramsay that hornwood is now up for grabs

He repeatlely gets orders from robb whos mobile in the field so his location is clearly very reachable and well known dude

-ramsay leaves winterfell and arrives , roose and ramsay have time to send ravens (few hours at most) as the stark loyalists will likely besige winterfell and demand terms first to help prevent the kids getting killed(and because it looks like surrender would be common sense anyway so theyd be highly unlikely to try and storm earlier)

-plan is simple and very do-able...feign allegience (they have 0 reason to doubt) and ambush. Shit the red wedding has worse odds (its actualy more like 10/3 outside winterfell) bear in mind in the opening seconds the stark loyalists lose a leader and 600 bolton men suddenly will attack and kill the 1st unprepared robb loyalist they see, we are told  from there they repeatly wheel.and attack preventng the stark troops even properly  forming up......in other words huge  sucker punch and never let up!! 2 more leaders gone and they scatter.

-well yeah if jamie had come across as a vengeful idiot, no one makes deals with fucking idiots!

Mad indeed ! you for shizzle !your mama ! and  lets get crunked !  and all that ...but that still doesnt alter the fact roose could easily have reached ramsay in time

The wiki is taking directly from the books man, roose lost then went and married walda  (twins) then was at harrenhall for a spell..hes not in the middle of nowhere hes very reachable ,even robb managed thisnfrom his guerllia campaign in the westerands

Allegedly. They're wrong all the time.

So nothing at all with MC? Cuz Greyjoy has it so why would wiki say Roose was there?

He went to Twins and Harrenhal, after Ramsays conquest of the North was under way

He's at Ruby Ford for like half of acok. Somewhere next to Rhegars lost jewles

When Edmure wants to contact him he has to send an army. Ravens need maesters and a kennel.

Managed what? And Robb didn't fight a guerilla war, he fought a medieval one with banners and full scale battles, mixed with sieges where castles like the Crag fall

-not in this they aint

-he retreats to the twins after losing his battle to marry fat walda  then waiting around at most caitlin hes ordered to take harrenhall

-yep and most castles like twins and harrenhall will have them as will many of the minor houses around them

-ok guerilla war wrong word but one of fast movment around enemy territory ...still manages to find old roose with a raven

What was the point of even having their army attack in the first place?

I'd assume Aegon's answer would go along the lines of "making enemies show up gathered in one location and make one Field of Fire instead of burning the whole Reach".

Still, ASOIAF is imo a worse fantasy warfare writing guide than the Book of Joshua, so I may be biased.
