What could *possibly* go wrong?

I just tried to ask ChatGPT, but an error occurred. Please stand by.

Elephants are a lot smaller than the Mumakil (as portrayed in the movies).

Also, if I recall correctly, only one Elephant made it into Italy.

Hannibal's elephants were North African (now extinct) so even smaller than the African elephants we are used to today. They must have arrived in Spain by crossing the straits though so water transport less hard on them than crossing the Alps.

Looks rough and from what I could gather, the gameplay does not impress either. The writing will have to save it.

The fact that the publisher decided to charge extra for the elves speaking Sindarin (and I suspect that this will only be NPC chatter) and a "Lore compendium" does not inspire confidence either.

Sometimes I genuinely wonder what JRRT would think of what's become of his art.

(I still have no idea why anyone would think Shelob Waifu was a good idea).

It is poorly thought out fanfiction.  They’ll be cross marketing with “Magic: The Gathering” before this is over…

It's already happening. Nothing to do with Rings of Power, of course, but Middle-Earth Enterprises and Wizards of the Coast have collaborated on a one-off LotR-themed M:TG set.

Sounds like even the writers have given up on this show.

They even went on strike to avoid any further association.

Which is funny, considering LOTRO is still limping along.

Granted it's finally past the end of the book series (I think... ) and is now dipping into more obscure areas of lore for expansions.

ETA: *The Mordor expansion came out in 2019. They've been doing post-Sauron, parallel, and pre-quel content since.
