The Rings of Power is not nominated for an Emmy for best Drama Series. The nominees are:

“Andor”

“Better Call Saul”

“The Crown”

“House of the Dragon”

“The Last of Us”

“Succession”

“The White Lotus”

“Yellowjackets”

Hell, The Rings of Power isn't even among the Hugo nominees. Emmys? Har!

Allegedly some friction between producers & editors over whether S2 should prioritise Numenor or the Elven storylines https://fellowshipoffans.com/news/the-faithful-vs-the-kingsmen-underway-behind-the-scenes-for-the-rings-of-power-season-2-exclusive/

That sounds even more of a mess than the first season.  Amazon should just make an extra episode rather than cut down so much.  And that the editing team has so much power over despite what the production team wants doesn't bode well   Sounds like they're baby-sitting the producers.  And sounds like the exec producers might be so incompetent they deserve it.

Eh. Sounds like a whole lot of conjecture and it's very difficult to take a post like that seriously.

Rather just wait and see what we see than read something like that

The score for John Williams' 'Schindler's List' and 'Star Wars' finished second and third, respectively.

The list of the top 100 film scores was compiled by popular U.K. radio station Classic FM, as part of their annual Movie Music Hall of Fame. More than 10,000 people voted for this year’s edition and the winner was revealed on Sunday by Jonathan Ross, the former presenter of the BBC’s Film program.

While Amazon, like other streamers, provides only limited data — and internally, it held information even more closely than usual on the series — sources confirm that The Rings of Power had a 37 percent domestic completion rate (customers who watched the entire series). Overseas, it reached 45 percent. (A 50 percent completion rate would be a solid but not spectacular result, according to insiders). The show has not been a major awards contender, either, overlooked by the major guilds with the exception of one SAG-AFTRA nomination for stunt ensemble.

Closing the chapter on this saga, a California judge has now handed down a costs order, instructing Polychron to pay $134,637 in attorney’s fees to both Amazon and Tolkien. In making the order, Judge Steven V. Wilson noted the “fantasticality” of the Polychron’s claim for copyright protection given his book is entirely based on characters in “The Lord of the Rings,” calling it “unreasonable” and “frivolous from the beginning.”
