Most of what people say is true. I have my doubts about Ashara. Her death is so inherently suspicious it practically screams "fake". But pretty much everyone else believed dead is. I mean unless we have evidence to the contrary. Like Sandor. But nothing for Ashara, no violet eyes or haunting beauty anywhere. Something repeated by everyone is not necessarily true. Could be just propagating gossip. Speculating or believing something just to fulfill your fan desire does not help. BTW, I don't think Benjen is dead either.
