Football: Boehly has a little Lamp

We’re just a soft touch these days. We were probably the better team for the last 55 minutes or so and we’ve had more than enough chances to pull out a win but if you hand the opposition two of the easiest goals you’re likely to see it’s always going to be a big ask. I’m not sure why it takes Xhaka being a knob to get us fired up either.

Yeah, but Carragher's, "Eeeeeeeeeeeeey, they've gone and handed City the initiative, it's in their hands now" was as brainless as you'd expect.

It's in our hands. Even if we both win all our remaining games, they still have to beat us.

Both teams can claim it's in their own hands now.

If City win all their games (including their game against Arsenal) they'll win the league. So it all depends on how you look at it.

Had you won against Liverpool, then City winning all their remaining games might not have been enough, as even if they were to win all their games, they'd have still fallen two points short (assuming you had won your other games, too),

So City have a hand at the wheel now, and aren't merely passengers in this race. Anyway, the remark is stupid for other reasons. City were still in the race before the game, as you were not like 8 points clear or something, and there was a fair chance, that you'd drop points somewhere before the end of season. There's also a chance that City will drop points somewhere.

Always possible, but that also requires either United and Newcastle to lose 4 of their remaining 9 games. Plus Spurs need to lose a couple, too. And Pool can't lose a single point.

I find it more likely that the end of today's game is the kind of "raise our game against the best"-mentality that Liverpool have shown often, and that they'll regress once the opposition drops in quality.

I didn't say successful push. They won't be playing CL, altho Spurs losing a couple, it's Spurs. :dunno:

Top four will be

Arsenal and City for the top two spots in some order

And 3-4 will go to the Uniteds in some order

Didn't mention Brighton and Villa, as they need 'pool-like runs to be a threat.

You overlook one important fact - Anything is possible with hair like De Zerbi
