The director's cut is a marked improvement on the theatrical release edition.

Gal Gadot Says She Is Developing ‘Wonder Woman 3’ With James Gunn
Despite previous reports that ‘Wonder Woman 3’ was cancelled, Gal Gadot says she’s developing the film with James Gunn and Peter Safran.

Quote

In a stunning turn of events, Gal Gadot is set to return to her role as Diana Prince in Wonder Woman 3—under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran at DC Studios. Gadot's future as Wonder Woman looked to be doomed when Patty Jenkins reportedly walked away from the project, though that was something the director later denied.

Anyone go see the Ironman/Spiderman/Moon Knight mash up?

My brother took his son for his birthday.  He's ten.  He liked it.  :dunno:

I haven't seen it mainly because I don't feel like dropping $60-$80 for it (cost of the entire family to go with range added for food). Looks good and I'll watch it on Max when it's released.

To be frank, I am feeling the superhero fatigue. I still haven't bothered to watch Antman 3 on D+ either, let alone Flash. Or even Into  Across the Spider-verse and my son still raves about how good it is (I believe him). I'm just not feeling the SH movies these days.

I think it's getting decent, if not great reviews. It seems perfectly serviceable. That is never going to be enough to get me to watch it unfortunately but if you are a kid on summer holidays maybe you'd go if you are bored.

I'm surprised by the amount of marketing I'm seeing for it over here as well, posters everywhere (I like the poster) and enough online marketing to make me notice it.

RT is scoring it 77% with 92% audience.  I'm hearing good things from the people that have seen it, but some of them have questionable taste (or are already fans of the print iteration of this version of Blue Beetle).  I'll see it, but likely not before it shows up on Max.

James Gunn did say today on Michael Rosenbaum's podcast that Blue Beetle is the first movie of the new DCU.

Character, not movie. Whatever the fuck that means. ‘Character’ doesn’t mean much, he could be a character who just never shows up again.

Yeah, about that…

Here’s hoping it has legs.

You think the 10 year old might want to see it again with like, 8 million friends? Those numbers aren’t going to raise themselves. Good thing WB has all those Barbie moneys.

On the plus side, it seems like everyone has forgotten about Shazam! FotG.

I'll watch it when it's on Max. I like the character, from Young Justice, but I'm just not interested in seeing a Superhero film, unless I think it will be something special like GotG vol 3 or Spider Verse 2.

Heck, I probably wont see any films in the theater until Dune part 2, comes out.

After one week, Blue Beetle is tracking below Shazam 2 domestically. The international picture is less clear but it doesn’t look much better. Unless it has above average legs (for a recent CBM), it may struggle to crack $100 million worldwide. Yikes.

I never felt the hype for this film, but I still don’t like to see this.

True story about the state of comic book movies in my house with two teenage boys.

Fandango had a $4 day yesterday for any movie. The four of us looked at the available movies. I asked them if they wanted to see Blue Beetle. Adamant no. No interest at all. Even though we're a Hispanic family and a fan of Xolo from Cobra Kai. Even though it was a third of the usual ticket price.

They're both burnt out on both Marvel and DC. Gunn is going to need a miracle to pull them into the theater in a few years.

That miracle will be Superman Legacy ! We haven’t had a real superman film since 1980

Okay... I'll bite.  What makes Superman 3/4, Returns, and MoS not a Superman movie?
