Football: Squeaky Bum Time

Recommended Posts

Getting tense up there.

In other news, I hate to side with a Liverpool player but surely that lineo's got to get a ban. Sure, Robertson was giving him grief and shouldn't have been, but you can't just elbow him. That's way worse than what Mitrovic just got banned for.

He will be suspended from any refereeing duty until the end of this season at the very least, plus a fine obviously.

Whether the FA wants to stick the boot further in is another question. But that's at least my guess what's gonna happen.

To be fair I doubt he meant to elbow Robertson. If he did that would be insane. I think Robertson has his hand on his arm and it was a sort of get off me wave of his arm that's caught Robertson. Potentially a ban for Robertson too depending on how it looks.

Hopefully we can respond with a couple of wins against Soton & West Ham, everyone has something to play for which also makes it tricky.

Unfortunately there's a strong correlation between being decent people but not very good at generating an atmosphere. Screaming lunatics generally are arseholes.

Arsenal was always my favourite ground to police as it was just so low key (and I'd just strip off in the minibus at the end and walk home).

From what I've seen (the quality of the video I've seen wasn't the best so I might be wrong) Robertson didn't really put his hand on the linesman. If linesman just elbowed him, I'd like to see him made an example of. Fire that asshole on the spot.

Low key? Not anymore. I've seen the atmosphere at the Emirates this season being described as amongst the best in the league. And not just by Arsenal supporters.

It really has changed.

Having said that, our stewards haven't started assulting away fans, and I don't recall any horses getting punched.

No shit, there's a good atmosphere when you are top of the league?

I see the National League refs are every bit as incompetent as their Premier League counterparts.

Aye. But Wrexham were denied one of the clearest penalties I've ever seen.

And I'm not sure Deadpool ever had journalists who criticised his movies chopped up and dissolved in acid. I know who I'd rather succeed.

Oh dear. Notts County player literally tripped over his own feet. Incompetent ref awards free kick. Notts County 1-0.

Disney will be rubbing their hands together. Sounds like a perfect for tv drama match.

It was easily one of the best games I've watched this season.

Finished 3-2 to Wrexham. Ben Foster capped things off with an amazing penalty save in the dying seconds.

Cracking stuff, and refreshing not having to worry about VAR fucking things up.

Last season Bryne FK started the season with ... what was it, 6 straight 2-1 losses. Terrible times.

This season, we started off with a 92nd minute winner in a 2-1 win. Life is good.
