Hahaha HA-ES-FAU.

2nd Bundeliga promotion race was wild.

Situation going into the final day of the season.

Darmstadt 98 had secured promotion last week.

Heidenheim was sitting in second trailing by three points but the best GD of the top three

On the play-off spot our dearest neighbours, forces of mordor/whateffs.

Heidenheim and that other club were playing the relegated teams.

The forces of evil took care of business, scored an early 1-0, anf that was that.

Heidenheim was 0-0 at HT. Conceded two quick goals (51' & 56') in the second, and looked like they'd end up in the play-off games. Then a quick OG made it a one-goal game (58'). Heidenheim then throw the proverbial kitchensink at Regensburg, like Dortmund yesterday, it was a must win situation. We enter injury time 90'+4' penalty Heidemheim 2-2. Since there was a var check, the injury time got longer. And unlike Dortmund, Heidenheim found the third goal. (90'+9'). 90+11' red crad for Regensburg, got downgraded to a yellow after VAR inte4rvention. 90+16 (!) final whistle. Gappy ending for everyone, well, everyone except for our neighbours that is :D, who will have to play Stuttgart now. Since Darmstadt didn't bother to show up and get pumped today. Heidenheim even clinched the league title.

Neighbours' Sporting Director absolutely fuming over the amount of additional time was magnificient.

We were quite poor in the first half again. Much, much better in the second half. These last two games don't bode well for the cup final. If we have a first half against City like we did against Chelsea and Fulham, they will wreck us.

Ah.

Two seasons in a row. I can stomach Dyche going forward, if that means we get some stability and direction. Need a full overhaul of the squad, though, and we don't have the cash, so ... how this goes I can't say.

Long story short, we're good on goalkeepers. Pickford can't be faulted.

Mina will leave, Coady will leave and Keane and Holgate should get booted. That leaves three CBs: Tarkowski, Brathwaite and Godfrey. So we need more of those.

Coleman and Paterson will be injured, unfortunately, so LB is a problem. RB is okay with Mykolenko.

Between Garner, Gana, Onana, Iwobi, Doucoure and Gray we have an ok midfield. Probably where there's least concern, but maybe depth needed.

Maupay I don't count, so we have Simms, Cannon (on loan now) and DCL up top. Need depth.

Heck of a job.

Going back to this.

Imagine you think your team was promoted, and you do a pitch invasion, only for Heidenheim to get the two goals in injury time.

Fucking hillariousl

Meanwhile at our home game.

Final score of the Heidenheim game gets announced.

No more 1. Liga, no more 1. Liga. HSV. :lmao:

I feel bad for Leicester. How many more seasons are Everton going to keep limping like this?

They got what they deserved. With the squad at their disposal really needed to be mid-table, at the very worst. They imploded, and will now have their squad stripped, will need to rebuild and it remains to be seen when will we see them in Premier League again.

That brings us to the question - who stays at Leicester after relegation? Newcastle are the obvious pick to come and grab what they can, and Liverpool have been linked to Tielemans for a couple of years now (I still don't understand why, though)... who else? And let's not forget Leeds and Southampton.
