Terrorthatflapsinthenight9
What if the Blackfish had taken the route of the Vale after escaping from Riverrun with Edmure's complicity, and using his knowledge of the region and of the Bloody Gate he's been in charge of for years, and of the friends he has made here, managed to come inside without problems ? What would Brynden's presence in the Vale cause for the story involving Sansa, Robert "Sweetrobin" Arryn, Littlefinger, Yohn Royce and the other actors of the Vale ?What role could he have here ? What would be his interactions with Sansa, Robert, Littlefinger and Yohn Royce ?
Takiedevushkikakzvezdy
I don't think it would make much sense given how focused he is on Riverrun.

Sweetrobin would probably welcome him as the uncle he knew, he may even use his status as the childs last living male relative to usurp LF, bronze royce etc would probably back him and it could be sansas time to shine to help tilt the balance The problem.is lf has the vale well sown up under his control, his moves have been shrewd and he has backers. Sansa would be overjoyed to see a family member and someone who has her back and isnt tryong to sleep with or pote tialy betray her But overall no hes no doubt neck deep in the red wedding 2.0 hes not going back to the vale
Aebram
I just checked the wiki to review what we know about the Blackfish. Quite a lot, actually, in bits and pieces scattered through the five books. He seems to be a very admirable character: smart, brave, and honorable. I do hope he will play a more prominent role at some point. As Takiedevushkikakzvezdy pointed out, he is probably more concerned about Riverrun than about events in the Vale. But he surely has friends and allies in the Vale; if he goes there, I think it will be to recruit some help, not to get involved in the situation there. Of course, if he encounters Sansa that could change his plans. But getting from the riverlands to the Vale could be difficult. If he takes the East road to the Bloody Gate, he has to go through the mountains, and risk being attacked by the clans, as well as possibly bad weather, with Winter coming on. Perhaps he could take ship from Maidenpool or Saltpans.
