morbiczer Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 You should get BOTH the board game and the card game. If you want to start out now, you definatly should pick up the Iron Throne Starter. It is the newest starter set (Valyrian is from 2004), and it has a premade Stark and a premade Lannister deck in it. These two decks can be played from the box, you can learn the game with them. The Valyrian Starter has no premade deck in it, just many neutral cards which could fit into many decks + two boosters worth of random cards. You cannot play the game with only a Valryan Starter. If you are interested in starting the game, I recommend that you go over to the official FFG messageboards (www.agameofthrones.com/brds). You1ll get prompt advice there.
