My name is Ben and I'm a compulsive book shopper. Wait a minute...haven't I already been here this month?

The Bonehunters by Steven Erikson (man the US covers just get worse and worse)

Empire of Ivory by Naomi Novik

The Electric Church by Jeff Somers

Cartomancy by Michael A. Stackpole

Destiny by Paul B. Thompson and Tonya C. Cook

Isis, REG, count yourselves lucky. I stopped counting my pile when it got into triple digits.

The Name of the Wind. Hard purchase, given that it has the worst cover ever.

You must have gotten the homoerotic cover. The cover for the second book will be much better.

I think my Sept 4th order from Amazon has been lost in the mail. It shipped on the 11th from a distribution center that's a mere 30 miles from my house, and still not here; package tracking has nothing since its departure scan. Now three days over the maximum delivery estimate, so I guess I'll be putting in a claim.

Bought these books at the only two stores that solely carries speculative fiction for over a hundred miles in every direction:

Feersum Endjinn, Player of Games and Use of Weapons by Ian M Banks.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman (HC, 1. ed. I've read it before, but it was a library copy).

Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson

Inverted World and A Fugue for a Darkening Island by Christopher Priest.

I just bought and received Black Man by Richard Morgan from the Book Depository and I am so pleased with it. Probably one of the most gorgeous covers I have seen in a while, especially while being a huge hardcover book. Gotta love it!

Two books I have been awaiting. One a long wait.

Documents Concerning Rubashov the Gambler by Carl-Johan Vallgren

and

Imprimatur by Rita Monaldi and Francesco Sorti.

Finally got my hands on an English translation. Hopefully they will try to catch up to the series and get the next two out without too long a wait!

I just picked up Winterbirth by Ruckley and Mad Ship by Robin Hobb (currently reading Ship of Magic, So I plan on finishing the trilogy before moving on to Ruckley's)

Oddly enough, the day I decide to check out Mysterious Galaxy (SFF bookstore in San Diego) Jeff Lindsay was doing a signing and Q&A, so I got to meet the creator of Dexter. Cool guy.

I just picked up a reading copy of Lies of Locke Lamora (I have the SubPress edition as well), and started it immediately. I also have been ebaying again, so I picked up:

Tarzan: The Lost Adventure - Lansdale

The Two-Bear Mambo - Lansdale

In Other Words - Crowley

The Pet - Grant

Stunts - Grant

Infinity Plus One - SF Collection signed by all contributors

All are signed limited or first editions. I love and hate ebay all at the same time.
