Question about Board Rules

I've read the board rules, and used the search function, and I can't seem to find anything about it. Perhaps I missed it. Is necroposting allowed? If not, how old must a thread be before bumping it is a necro? Or is it subjective - don't necropost in a thread if it's no longer relevent, for example?

Thanks for your time.

If the thread is one where worthwhile discussion can still be had, and the poster bumping it up is actually contributing something to the topic beyond just a '*bump*', then that ought to be fine.

Posting on a thread every couple of days just to get it back to the top of the board artificially (especially noticeable when there's a string of posts by you and no one else) is probably inappropriate.

Yeah, the last is pretty much common sense. :P

So it's generally acceptable to revive an old discussion, no matter how old, so long as the thread and what you're contributing is relevent and you're contributing to the discucssion? That's a good rule of thumb and what I wanted to know. Thanks.
