Bazzlebane
<sigh>. I guess you just don't get it. The whole point is that it is exceptionally meaningless. It goes with the 70s era light jazz background...it's a parody. It's silly. Succulent juices...gold platters...when you listen to it, it's bizarre and hypnotic and works the way the best Ween songs work.

Bazzlebane
Uh, Ween isn't hip. Quite definitely unhip, in fact. Just stoners having fun...who happen to be incredibly skilled musicians.

Inigima
Jesus. Those have to be the flattest and most meaningless lyrics I've ever read. This is what I like to think of as "the Ween experience."
Nobelpoke
Well, I'm listening to "Ruby" by the Kaiser Chiefs. Unfortunately, I'm only listening to it in Guitar Hero 3. See, I'd like to buy the album. But I am still refusing to buy physical CDs in protest and I won't pay for DRMed music, and Amazon MP3 doesn't have it. Maybe Record & Tape Traders will have a copy. Stupid record labels. I want to give you money. Why are you making this so hard for me? you can't find a download of it anywhere? anyways i'm rocking out to the Hiro X: The Meaning of Truth (opening song for F-Zero anime)
Caliban
Rick Danko is sick. The last waltz performance is unbelievable. Its the only Band performance Ive even seen video of, and one of only a handful of live ones Ive ever heard. Im still unclear if that was a special moment or if they brought it every time. Caliban
There were beverages laid out for the party. There were candy and spices and tri-colored pastas. The meat carved was drawn from succulent juices Served on platters of purest gold I was cold when we arrived at the party I spoke with fervor embracing the evening My wife leaned over and whispered "I love you" I held her close and we danced We had the best time at your party. The wife and I thank you very much. We had the best time at your party. The wife and I thank you very much. <sax solo> Cream puffs and bourbon and the music was louder My wife was competing in a game of chance The party raged and the guests were screaming I could have danced all night We had the best time at your party. The wife and I thank you very much. We had the best time at your party. The wife and I thank you very much. <instrumental breakdown> Later on when we were under the covers I closed my eyes and I drifted to sleep I dreamt about me maybe throwing a party And just how great that would be And we said we had the best time at your party. The wife and I thank you very much. We had the best time at your party. The wife and I thank you very much. ~~~~~~~~~ God I love Ween. They played Learning to Love when they were in Chicago. Bazzlebane
Yeah, I've been watching YouTube performances of all the new songs. Most of them have been done by now. I'm looking forward to Woman and Man. As to "the Ween experience", well, I can post the lyrics to Piss Up a Rope if you want something that isn't flat and trite... Inigima
you can't find a download of it anywhere? I'm not a student anymore and it feels inappropriate to be pirating shit when I have a job and all. I'd really prefer to buy music these days, if only they'd let me.
