Booooooo.....

OK, Dreyken the party-pooper can go sit in the corner with Marga McBuzzkill. It's May Festival and I intend to dance and sing and toss cabers as much as I please.

If you need me in the next few hours, I'll be busy being all Celticy, pictish and paganie.

Once upon a time
Not so long ago

Tommy used to work on the docks
Unions been on strike
Hes down on his luck...its tough, so tough
Gina works the diner all day
Working for her man, she brings home her pay
For love - for love

She says weve got to hold on to what weve got
cause it doesnt make a difference
If we make it or not
Weve got each other and thats a lot
For love - well give it a shot

Chorus:
Whooah, were half way there
Livin on a prayer
Take my hand and well make it - I swear
Livin on a prayer

You have created a monster, sir.

Song war? That's not my style....

I live for the minute...
if you wanna stay young,
Get both feet in it!

Living on a Prayer?

You're trying too hard there. A little more subtlety? :-p

subtlely, i know not this subtlety, nor does any man with nothing up his britches he has to hide.

is it a priest fantasy you're looking to experience? i've never been in a collar before, but perhaps you can convince me.

Do i look like a priest man! Look at these! Do priests have these bouncy round things on their chests?

Okay, do they have these bouncy round things AND a thin waist? You know what I mean, and it's not the same!

As for being of that baby faith at all, not a chance! I'm too busy enjoying life to lock myself to a moral code that forces misery! The only thing I have to confess is contempt!

edit: A collar, however, could be arranged. I didn't realise our fine young men here were into the fetish scene! If i had done, I may not have been eligable for the whole "virgin" status after all!

Song contest, is it?

I have always found that angels have the vanity to speak of
themselves as the only wise; this they do with a confident insolence
sprouting from systematic reasoning, Swedenborg boasts that what he writes
is new; Tho' it is only the contents or index of already publish'd books.
A man carried a monkey about for a shew,& because he was a little wiser
than the monkey, grew vain, and conciev'd himself as much wiser than seven
men. It is so with Swedenborg: He shews the folly of churches & exposes
hypocrites, till he imagines that all religious,& himself the single one
on earth that ever broke a net. Now hear a plain fact: Swedenborg has not
written one net truth, now hear another: he has written all the old
falsehoods. And now hear the reason. He conversed with angels who are all
religious & conversed not with devils who all hate religion. For he was
incapable thro' his conceited notions. Thus Swedenborg writings are a
recapitulation of all superficial opinions, and an analysis of the more
sublime but not further. Have now another plain fact. Any man of
mechanical talents may, from the writings of Paracelus or Jacob Behmen,
produce ten thousand volumes of equal value with Swedenborg's, and from
those of Dante or Shakespear an infinite number. But when he has done
this, let him not say that he knows better than his master, for he only
holds a candle in sunshine.

Anyway, I'm going to bed now.

It's Ms Buzzkill to you.[/quote]

Well, Ms. Buzzkill, are you gonna spend the whole game rolling your eyes at other people's fun or do you have something else in mind?

I gave the thumbs down. Most recently you rolled your eyes. The purpose of my post was to point out people who were trying to contribute to a 'fad'. Particularly Brighid.

Maybe I'll have something else in mind when the game actually starts. There was nearly the start of moderately interesting discussion before it was squelched by more songs.

Why are you singling out Brighid among all the those you quoted?

I must have missed that. By whom and regarding what?

 You are a barrell of giggles McBuzzkill. Wonder how you were able to keep the boys at bay and remain a virgin for so long.

Yeah, I read. But I didn't see anything before the "song contest" that got squelched, so are you a nun manufacturing a bit of suspicion against Brighid? Growing impatient?
