Ser Warpechowski
http://www.erepublik.com/ I would like to introduce this game called ERepublik, which is a browser game that has many economical and political themes. In it, you act as a citizen of a real life country and contribute to its society, and can act in the political, economic, entertainment and military fields. The objective of the game is to both grow your citizen and also help your country grow and become more powerfull. You can work in a company, or create your own company. All the companies are created by players, and they can be private, or owned by the state. The welfare of these companies is based on the market, which is based on the actions of the players of the country, and of other countries. The state is also controled by the playes. You can become part of a political party or even create your own. Due to political power you can become president of the party, mayor of cities, member of the congress or even the president of the country, which allows you to make changes to the economy and help your citizens grow. The game is quite complex. You can even start wars against other countries and dominate their territories. You can improve your country armies by sending soldiers to assist allied nations defend themselves or atack others. As an individual, you can personaly buy a moving ticket which allows you to travel to another country and fight for it, both for experience and for money. The best thing about it is that it doesnt take a lot of time to play. Every in-game day is equivalent to a real life day, and there is a set number of actions you can take everyday, like training in the army or go to work. Another good thing about it is that the majority of the players are above 21 years old, and the average ages go from 23 to 27 years old. Its quite an amazing game, not just because you grow personaly as a citizen, but also because you compete internationaly as a member of a nation. Unfortunaly the game is still on its BETA stage, so its not open for everyone. Nonetheless every player that joins can invite 5 people. I have 3 invitations left, so those interested can post their emails here and Ill give these to the first three persons. THe others that want to join can post their emails too, since I know people who have invitations too. Or maybe these that join first can join the others, since sucessfuly inviting someone gives you 5 gold, which is quite a lot of money in the game. Ser Warpechowski
I dont know which country you will join (probabily Italy, be aware that each country usually uses its own language), so I cant give you many tips, because each country has its own money and starting money, industry and other details. Yet I recomend that you get a job, join the army and buy level 3 quality food, so you can raise your wellness a bit. If you have any doubt you can ask me. Ser Warpechowski
Ok, done. I hope you enjoy the game. I doubt we will find each other inside the game (I´m in Brazil), but if you need help you can ask me for tips. Also, make sure you dont lose any invitation, since they give 5 gold each and that is quite a bit of money (you can get 25 gold from the 5 invitations, and starting your own company takes 40 gold). Teng Ai Hui
Sounds interesting. Is this something that I will have to devote a lot of time to? Will I have to login and perform tasks everyday?

Ser Warpechowski
Sounds interesting. Is this something that I will have to devote a lot of time to? Will I have to login and perform tasks everyday?
Rattle Pants, I´ve sent you the invitation. Teng, it really depends. There are a lot of options. You can play 5 minutes daily just by going to work and training in the military, or you can do a bunch of other stuff. You can create your own company and control it, setting prices, hiring people, selling and buying products, giving gifts yo your employers... You can become part of a political party and become a counselor, leader, mayor of a city, member of the congress or even president of the country. Each one of these options allows you to do more stuff. You can wage international wars by fighting in your own country or in other countries, you can be a mercenary and move all over the world fighting or become a high ranking officer in your own country. You can create a newspaper and write on it so others could vote and read your writings so you get more famous and get more points. There are a lot of options. You can spend the entire day playing it (if, for example, you´re the president) or you can just be a regular joe and work daily and that is it. The game gives you a lot of options, but to be able to get more options, like becoming a politician, you have to get political power, and you can do that by joining groups or using your other ressources (economic, military and media) as leverage. For example, you can move to another country and buy a newspaper there and start atacking the government so that it becomes weaker, and your original country can then atack it. Ser Warpechowski
Hi, I have new invitations left, so those that want to try this game should take a look. Those interested can post here or send your emails through personal messages. The game has become much more interesting now that many wars are happening around the world. Indonisia is expanding and has conquered territories in South Africa which allow them to invade South America. Germany and Sweeden are fighting each other and Germany has been holding because of international allies who are working as mercenaries and volunteers. There was a political coup in Turkey which gave control of the country to a group of israelis who were tired of being threatened by this country. There are a lot of thing happening. Those interested can join in the country of their choosing and even move latter if the need or desire arrises.
The Man Who
I joined in South Africa but I'm sitting in Pretoria now. I tried to go to the Western Cape but it wasn't an option and I thought it must be because Americans don't know geography or something, only to find out that the actual reason was that it had been invaded by Indonesia(!). I probably should have read Ser Wapechowski's post properly. South Africa also seems really backwards at the moment and it seems like jobs are scarce. Both have the highest quality hospitals and citizens. If you want to go to war, you need to be where the hospital is. YW
Ser Warpechowski
For those of you that are starting, I have some tips. Every day you need to eat. One of the first things you need to do is buy food. There is a quality called Wellness which is the "health" of your citizen. In a war it helps in your battle strengh, and while working it improves your production. If you dont eat, you lose 5 points each day, until by reaching 0 you die. By eating, you get daily the same number of wellness that the quality of your food is. For exemplo, Q1 (Quality 1/1 star) food will give you 1 point of wellness/day. Now, if you work, you lose 1 wellness daily. If you train in the military, you lose one point. In the start you can mostly do that, so which means that if you work and train, you lose 2 points daily. If you eat a Q1 food, you get one, which means that you lose two and get 1, meaning you lose one. To stop your citizen from losing wellness you should buy Q3 food. That gives you 3 wellness every day. By losing 2, you end up getting one. IN the long run it means your character will improve his wellness. Every country has its own currenty, starting fee (the quantity of money you get when you start) and its own price for products. So it may be too expensive to get food Q3, but get at least Q2 so you will be able to train and work. To work you need to create a curriculun. Go to Economy, Get a Job, and choose the sector you want to work in. Save it and wait until people come with offers. I dont know which countries you are in so I cant say how much is a starting salary. To train go to military -> Train Here. Its free to train (you only lose 1 wellness). After you get a job you can start your own newspaper (again, its free) and join a political party. In the start you wont have a lot of power, but since this game is a political game you need to know how things work and know the right people. Young Wolf
snip
Also after you post your CV public in the job section...go to the forums and under announcements there is a "Job Thread" in which a lot of employers check daily. If you're in the US I also recommend messaging the US Unemployment Office and they'll contact employers for you to hire you. Posting in the job thread and hitting up the US Unemployment Office will usually get you 3-4 offers. Also I wouldnt even bother trying to get a job in the hospital field in the US. Its effing difficult to get hired and the market is very unstable.
HP Loveshaft
So in Canada, the president of the country is unemployed and asking for a salary of $1/day. I think this means our economy is not so hot.
The Man Who
I feel all alone. We should have all tried to be in the same country and from a bloc of power. I need a job as well. Not easy with the economy in tatters from Indonesia, and I can't afford to emigrate. Have just started the Daily(ish) Dissenter though. If anyone wants an invite feel free to PM me. If anyone wants to come and moan, join me in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, and help build a glorious nation out of the ruins of Indo-African war.
