superkick
who would you pick to play him? I really cannot think of anyone you have to come off as being a really evil bastard while talkign in a lisp thats so ridiculous its comical.
sumi
Ooh, how about the guy who plays the Sheriff of Nottingham in the new Robin Hood series?
Brude
I'd like to see someone who is a comedian playing this role - partly because the right comedic timing could make the role both funny (I laughed at him in the book) and damn terrifying - comedians often play the scariest roles when they want to...you need to have a real darkness about you to be a good comedian, probably. Not that he's my choice for the role, but think about how creepy Robin Williams can be, or Michael Keaton (who's technically a comedic actor, but not really a comedian). Charles Fleischer, a very good stand-up and the voice of Roger Rabbit, was DAMN creepy in his role in Zodiac.
Maester Yobjascz
I've been on record for awhile now that Rowan Atkinson should be Vargo Hoat. He's got the necessary timing and will handle the lisp just fine. But he's got an intense stare that's comical on someone in a suit... but put him in some natty long hair and it becomes positively evil.

superkick
dunno if you could get him to play such a minor role...though I too have always found the goat to be hilarious. Everytime he speaks in the books I cant help but laugh. A evil bastard yes, but he also needs to be portrayed with udnertones of comic relief. Morrigan
Kind of early to say, huh? We should stick to characters who only appear in AGoT for now...

The.Hound
Rowan Atkinson as the goat would be awesome, he's perfect for that.
Ser Doresain
Ever since the last major casting thread I can't help but picture Giovanni Ribisi as the goat, with a long filthy goatee.
Aoede
A ridiculous accent or verbal tic doesn't preclude a psycho-scary character. Take Teatime from "Hogfather" and his giggling little-boy voice.
Durendale
Rowan Atkinson is a great choice! Jeff Goldblum http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000156/ might be too expensive but could do it as well. Valyrian-Steel
Someone else mentioned him for Littlefinger... But I could see Matheiu Amalric (villain from new bond film) as the goat.
