Naknakkus Posted November 19, 2008 Share Posted November 19, 2008 As in the subject line. I've noticed that some actors are being put forward with geek or ASOIAF fan credentials to support them. Avery Clark is the one I remember seeing mentioned, as well as Roy Dotrice, who must either be sick of the books (from reading them out loud) or a fan, and I've read that he's got a good relationship with GRRM, so does that make him more likely to be picked? I doubt many well known actors are going to be fans, or at least be discoverable as fans without asking them. I don't think she could pull of Cat, I reckon she could be a teasing Ygritte, though I'm not sure she'd be wild enough. It isn't a huge role though... GRRM should definitely have a cameo. I have mentioned this in another thread, but I'll say it again now: there really aren't that many roles without exceptional demands (height, freakish beauty, etc) for anyone in their mid 20s who can't pull of either older or younger, the few that do exist (Asha for example) don't quite seem right for her. I always pictured her as a peasant, no aristocratic nose and high cheekbones. Not that pretty in the face, buxom and fit, to be sure, but not pretty in the face. She's a wildling afterall. You all watched HBO's rome?
