pablonohablo
At least that appears to be the case according to this site: http://www.geekshow.us/content/television-...ame-of-thrones/ Is this true? I very much hope it is.
Paxter
Hmmm....interesting find pablonohablo. Of course, it could just be a rumour, especially since no sources are cited by the author of the article. But I hope it's true as well.
Halfhand
There is a source link at the bottom of the article. The AICN report, which is just a rumor. Why this website reported it like it was a done deal, when even the insider that the rumor stems from said it wasn't set in stone yet is beyond me. Brude
Yeah, whoever wrote this blog post apparently didn't notice the question marks in the title of the AICN article they linked at the bottom. The picture of Dinklage wearing the crown and sword I think comes from his role as Richard III he did on stage in New York a few years back (which I saw - he was very good, most of the rest of that production wasn't so good though). ogbebaba
I just got done watching Threshold. Peter Dinklage is by far hands down the best choice possible for Tyrion. His character in threshold has a lot of in common with Tyrion brilliant, funny, charismatic, and a weakness for alcohol and hookers Her is an interesting interview with him from when he was doing Threshold. fitheach
This is just speculation, not facts. But if we can have Peter Dinklage as Tyrion- I'm pleased. He is The Hand and more...

Faceless Man of Braavos
I was sold on Dinklage before you kindly posted all those clips. Now I'm at the point that I'd actually be bummed if he didn't sign on.
kimba
My only concern is his age. Tyrion is in his mid to late 20s where as Peter is coming up on 40 this year.
Werthead
I've never seen Dinklage in anything before, so those clips were a bit of a revelation. He seems to have a good range, as those roles all seemed pretty different from one another.

Kingthlayer!
"neutral american"... hm. Canadian (excluding the stereotypical Torontonian) accents are actually the closest of the english language to the dictionary. Just if anyone wants real neutrality and tolerance, look to the Canucks. But I would prefer mostly english-ish accents, i suppose. Variation would make it interesting though.

There is no standard English pronunciation; we don't have an Academy.
