fitheach
They laid in bed together with clothes on and they kissed a few times, that's as far as it went. The shots fade out after that.I didn't see it, but I hear the more recent adaptation of "Lolita" with Jeremy Irons was a lot more explicit and the girl who starred in that movie was also underage, but I'm not sure how far it actually went.Actually, the fade out was the image of James Masons face and body moving over her body which was laying on a bed- so it was pretty sure in what was to happen. They didn't need to show, it was understood. The remake (which I hated) was quite explicit- definitely had a soft porn vibe. The film didn't really need to be remade- it was perfect already. Don't you work in film Brude? You really should be up on your Kubrick! :-)Anyway, I agree with your original thought- the scene between Sansa and Tyrion can be done with him on the bed with his clothing on and cut away- since what you said in the spoiler is true. Dire Wolf Summer
I'll play the devil's advocate for a while and say: what's wrong with those changes? All that's needed is to assume Cat got pregnant after Eddard returned from the war. Robb is still the heir because he's legitimate, and Cat still has reasons (in fact, more reasons) to be afraid of Jon.I'm not saying that I feel that this specific change is needed, but if that is the decision of the producers I could live with it. Jon is a much more complex character to play than Robb, and I can see why they could feel they need an experienced actor for the role.I completely agree with this hairy bear.Jon has to be more multi-faceted than Rob. Rob plays a young king only who eventually marries and gets betrayed. Jon goes to the Wall surrounded by grizzled veterans, sleeps with a woman kissed by fire, and becomes Lord Commander. We definitely need a more mature proven actor to play Jon Snow.

As for Theon, that's weird, 15?k
Xanrn
Oh please you can easily get around the Tyrion/Sansa scene with good camerawork.Just keep the Camera on Tyrion and allow the actor to sell the entire scene. If you want to hammer home the point, have the old dress dropping to the ground without showing anything but the actress legs, the old naked in bed with sheet for modesty, maybe a shot from Sansas perspective showing her naked legs and Tyrion at the end of the bed staring.Example the photo of Miley Cyrus from a year ago of whatever of her topless using a sheet for modesty and looking like a corpse.Althought Littlefinger french kissing her is an altogether different problem. Werthead
I threw this list together on whim. It's the actor, the actor's age, the character and the character's age from the casting sides followed by their age in the book. I did this from memory so I suspect some of the character ages might be wrong, but it should be an interesting comparison anyway: Sean Bean (50) as Ned Stark (40s) – 35 in the bookPeter Dinklage (40) as Tyrion Lannister (30s) – mid-to-late 20s in the bookJennifer Ehle (39) as Catelyn Stark (30s) – c. early 30s in the bookMark Addy (45) as Robert Baratheon (40s) - 36 in the bookNikolaj Coster-Waldau (39) as Jaime Lannister (30s) – early 30s in the bookTamzin Merchant (22) as Daenerys Targaryen (15) – 13/14 in the bookHarry Lloyd (25) as Viserys Targaryen (20s) – 22 in the book Alfie Owen-Allen (22) as Theon Greyjoy (20s) – 19 in the bookIain Glen (48) as Jorah Mormont (40s) – undisclosed in the bookRichard Madden (23) as Robb Stark (17) – 14 in the book Kit Harington (22) as Jon Snow (17) – 14 in the book Jack Gleeson (17?) as Joffrey Baratheon (15?) – 13 in the bookSophie Turner (?) as Sansa Stark (?) – 13 in the bookMaisie Williams (?) as Arya Stark (?) – 9 in the book

Chrysee
Wasn't Sansa 11 in AGOT? I think in AFFC she says Alayne is 14, but she is also lying and making Alayne older than herself. I think the leaked pilot had her as 13.
Padraig
Yes, the Stark kids seem to be aged up 2 to 3 years. Makes sense. Joffrey is the surprise. One would have thought he'd be aged up a year or 2 also.
