Garlan the Gallant
Yesterday, you said if it wasn't by 12am Wednesday, you were going to hurt someone. :lol:Confession: I've been working on a semi/maybe/wannabe clever list of which avatar of which regular here on this thread should play which part. (My avatar should be Tywin). BUT, I've come to a complete stop because of Fate's Bitch's avatar. I mean, Jesus with a Hershey bar? Pul-eeze! Even after all these days and nights practically living here on this thread, I'm at a total dead end with that one!As you can clearly see, due to my new avatar, I have entered into a baby chucking contest due to no HBO casting news this morning!-Edit- Just read the Gregor suggestion and laughed at the irony of my avatar and said baby throwing.

Hold, hold, I say! 'End of the week' may mean Friday, after all. 24 hours and 2 minutes from now, EST. Surely, you can restrain yourself that long? (So what if the kid pees on your hand? PAH! Real warriors don't even notice such things as pee-pee hands!) Hold, I say!

Ran
Might I suggest moving the avatar discussion to its own thread, so this one can stick to the hints? :)

Philly Homer
I'm beginning to think my earlier theory of, Kevin McKidd as the Kingslayer, might actually be true. He has a connection to Bean (Greek Gods in upcoming movie), recently in a canceled show (Journeyman). However, all that was covered in an earlier thread. What really convinced me is the possible casting of Iain Glein. McKidd played an English sergeant in Kingdom of Heaven and he was on King Richard's (Glein's character) side. On the other hand, Coster-Waldau, played a Village sheriff. GRRM specifically mentioned that the new knight went to war with Jaime. This would only leave McKidd. GRRM also goes on to mention "kingslaying". Jaime is given the title of "Kingslayer" because he slew Aerys, while he was supposed to be on the Mad King's side. Now, McKidd could be the only one who could do that in the Kingdom of Heaven. There is another clue that could possibly refer to McKidd, which I happened to overlook until now. In an earlier blog post, George mentioned "too good to be true". Most people thought it referred to Coster-Waldau because of the Youtube search. I was always skeptical about this particular connection, but there was a lot of other evidence in favor of Waldau, so I went along with it. However, now that I think about it it really seems far fetched. I think the "too good to be true" was in reference to an actor that George thought was too good to be true. [erhaps, he thought that the actor would be great, but they couldn't do GoT because of scheduling. GRRM has mentioned his love for Rome several times, and McKidd was one of the main characters. He is also also a regular cast member for Grey's Anatomy, which is why a lot of people think he is out of the running for GoT. Maybe, something happened to change this, and George think it's too good to be true. Either way, I'm more convinced than ever that Kevin McKidd is going to be the Kingslayer. Of course, all this could just be me trying to convince myself, so you never know.
Ran
It's almost impossible that it's McKidd. Grey's Anatomy is currently in production for this season. For McKidd to be able to play Jaime, it seems to me he'd have to have two episodes off. And then of course, he'd have to be set for an exit from the show. There's absolutely no rumors about either of these things, near as I can tell.Apparently he was on Carson Daly last night -- anyone catch it? Possibly it can be viewed online at the network's web page, but it's probably U.S. only, so I can't check it. He's doing promotion for Grey's Anatomy now, apparently his character will be fairly important to the early part of this season, and whatnot. Seems unlikely. Naknakkus
I'd love it if McKidd was attached to the show in any way. Not only is he a fantastic actor, but he's also an Elgin native.
JoannaL
We are talking about Jaime not Ned, aren't we? In this case it could be an actor with not so much time for the pilot. I have not read the script but can his role in the pilot not be reduced to sit around in the background at the feast and only one single sentence at the very end? The actor just should have more time next year if it came to full production.

Ran
I am starting to buy the idea that Cersei may be played by Denise van Outen.1) "Dutch Treats" - Obviously, a Dutch last name (but she's British)2) "Not a boney pop singer" - May connect to the next clue3) "Too good to be true" - She performed a duet with Andy Willaims, who always was a lean ("boney") fellow, and more so in his age. At the video's start, she's also the focus of the "too good to be true" line. She acts ... kind of, anyways; I am very apprehensive regarding her acting ability, to be honest, but if she did well in auditions, all right. She could look like Coster-Waldau's sister (something about the nose). She's a good looking blonde woman... Of course there's George's response to the Elizabeth Mitchell guess based on the "Boney M" notion to suggest that that was nearer the mark, so ... we shall see. Ser_not_appearing_yet
Okay, here we go: A list of which regular AVATAR here should be which character. I keep hesitating because I just know people are going to equate what I say with themselves, their posts, who they are, etc, etc, and get all offended. And its not about that--its a list of AVATARS only. Avatars as characters. Just avatars--pictures--nothing to do with the westeros member's personality at all.Me =Tywin, of course. Cold, strong, ruthless, rude, hurtful.Phoenix-Torn = Littlefinger. Smiling, friendly, helpful. Watch out.Fate's Bitch = Prince Who Was Promised. (Oh, that's perfect. Thanks, PT!)<SNIP for brevity>What hast thou done to us George? What hast thou done?

Could it be that Dutch refers to more than one actor/actress?
Lupigis
Remind me, why does everyone seem so sure that Iain Glen has been cast as Jorah Mormont and not Rodrik Cassel? We know that they were in the process of casting Ser Rodrik and there is nothing in the clues that gives us any information either way.WRT to the "going back" clue, Iain Glen has filmed in Marocco, but he has also filmed in Belfast, so that's no help.
