Westeros Posted June 5, 2010 Share Posted June 5, 2010 According to George R.R. Martin’s latest post, it seems that the casting for the role of Samwell Tarly is starting to narrow down. In his post, he remarks that, “We’re casting Sam right now for the TV show. Two excellent young actors stand out above the rest. A damned hard choice.” It’s always good to know that they have several top-notch options in a role, and we’re certainly joining all the fans in expectation of some casting announcements in the next few weeks.Visit the Site! Rimmer Posted June 6, 2010 Share Posted June 6, 2010 I wonder how fat they're going to have him. He's referred to in the books as being pretty obese, though that miniture isn't very big. Brude Posted June 6, 2010 Share Posted June 6, 2010 It won't be hard to make an already heavy actor look extremely obese in the northern setting of The Wall with all the clothing he'll have to wear. Fat suits can sometimes look very bad, especially if the actor is not at all fat, but an actor who already has a heavy looking face will work just fine.
