Upcoming Cover Art III

Harper Voyager will publish a special slipcase edition of AGoT in July:

If they do not publish the other books in that edition, too - I will personally bring the Others to Earth!

Also - another quick question. Does anyone know when the Paperback version of this edition (http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Dance-with-Dragons-George-Martin/9780553801477) will be out? All the other books I have are in that look and I hate changing Cover-Art.

Yeah, that edition with the green cover and clip-art Welsh dragon was thankfully taken outside and shot in the head. That version will not appear on the covers of any edition of the book.

Based on ASoS and AFFC, the paperback of ADWD will likely take 18 months to 2 years to come out. The UK paperback edition - in two volumes - will be published on year after the hardcover, lilkely in July and August 2012.

Bah! Then I'll buy the best HC editions available.

Funny enough, Amazon.de also lists the green cover as available for pre-purchase. Then again amazon.de fucked up often enough with that kinda things.

Thanks for your input guys. The slipcase edition is rather tempting, now ;)

Thanks for the Jon Foster connect btw!

I thought it was a great looking cover too, and it really reminded me of the cover of The Walls of the Universe. So I looked in my copy to find the artist's name, went to his website, and wow! I had no idea he'd done so many great recent covers. I might have to rank him as my second favorite cover artist (right behind Stephan Martiniere). Thanks for giving me the push to look it up!

The US cover art for Raymond E. Feist's A Crown Imperiled:

I look forward to seeing the new Feist covers, they are always spectacularly shitty. I'm secretly hoping that the art department just gives up one day and goes for Papyrus font and a crayon doodle.

This is the penultimate-ever Riftwar book?

I believe it is:

The ultimate battle for Midkemia continues in this second installment in the Chaoswar — the fifth and final Riftwar — in the New York Times bestselling author’s legendary series
This last trilogy, begun with A Kingdom Beseiged, ushers in the most fearsome threat the Kingdom has yet faced—the Chaoswar.
