Use of the term 'The Others'

The idea of people being confused by the Others from Lost I guess there's not much you can do about.

Its not confusion that is the issue. Nobody is going to think the villians in Lost are the villians in GoT. Its more that people who know nothing about the books will think it very lazy that they have the same name. You don't want people to be thinking of Lost everytime the name is mentioned.

Melisandre's nemesis can still be called the Great Other though. That's suitably distant from "the Others". Or not. No big deal.
