Westeros
The fifth and final puzzle of the Maester’s Path has now gone live! With each of the previous puzzles having covered four of the five senses, this one deals with the last sense left: taste. And it ties in, thematically at least, with HBO’s taste experience that’ll be playing out in New York City and Los Angeles over the next couple of weeks, as award-winning chef Tom Cochillio of Top Chef has planned out the menu. And just in time for that, today happens to be the first evening for the food truck in New York City. At last report, it will be somewhere in the vicinity of Union Square at 6PM. The menu for today is inspired by King’s Landing and features trout, rabbit, and (of course) lemon cakes, a brief video describing it that we’ve embed below, plus the full menus for all five days of the experience… which are necessary to solving the puzzle!read on >>>Visit the Site! Corvinus85
I have no clue what needs to be done.
DragonAge93
How does this work? I looked at all the menus, click "Begin", watch the wine pour, then it says I have failed. There's nothing to interact with or anything...
Edda van Heefmstra Ruston
I'm not sure. I've got the menus open, so I can see the differences, but see no way to interact with the test itself.GuessesI presume it's to do with the changing fruit on the menus, but that's no good unless I figure out how to actually do something with the puzzle. I even went back through the previous puzzles to see if there was something to "collect" to add while the thing's pouring, but I can't find anything. (Or haven't so far, anyway.) Spoony
Maybe you have to sit and wait a little while before beginning. I am going to see if the digital water begins to boil or not.

Ran
Yeah, either this is some Zen koan thing where the answer is staring at us but we can't see it, or ... something is wrong.
Ser Duck
I'm guessing this one we can only do after a week.It says "But before entering the fold, you must explore the differences in the menus of the seven kingdoms" Kings landing today... Ran
Steve Coulson of Campfire tells me that one needs to examine the clue _very carefully_. Something about the keys? I wsa thinking the fruits, but...
Edda van Heefmstra Ruston
For a moment I thought it was like those old MAD magazine folding puzzles, but so far no dice. ETA: After I saw his comment to you.
The Scabbard Of the Morning
I think it has something to do with the menu,On the first page, there is a capital T and a capital R, and on the other page the menu is Trout and Rabbit, coincidence? We are supposed to put something into the pot I think. Faraday
Am I missing something? I can't *do* anything to stop failing it seems, maybe I need to switch something before the puzzle?
Ran
Steve Coulson says that the clue is very important. He also says that the phrase "before the fold" is also an important clue. Linda has also tallied up differences:1 King’s Landing: all fruit whole2 Riverlands: 3 half eaten green apples (left half gone, angled up)3 The Wall: 2 half peeled oranges (right half gone, angled up)4 Pentos: 3 half eaten red apples (right half gone, angled down)5 Winterfell: 3 half peeled oranges (top half gone)
DragonAge93
But what do we do with those hints? There's nothing to interact with. And nothing to type in.
The Scabbard Of the Morning
The cuts in the fruits form a straight line.I'm pretty convinced you have to print these menus out, and fold along those lines to reveal the clue.
Lady Blackfish
Ran, I'm pretty sure in Friday's there is also a half peeled ... grapefruit? blood orange? on the upper right, somewhere in the vicinity between the two half-eaten green apples. It doesn't align with Friday's oranges though. Edda van Heefmstra Ruston
Yeah, TSotM, see above. I'm trying to fold, but so far am not getting anything. Of course I'm at work too, so I can't do a whole lot, so maybe I'm just doing it wrong.
