A Game Of Thrones: Where is Bran at King's Dinner?

At the beginning of A Game of Thrones (Page 50 in my book) during the dinner with the King in Winterfel, Jon Snow is describing the entrance of his half siblings and who they are escorting. He never mentions Bran. Where is Bran? Is this an overlook by the author or is there another explanation?

George himself admitted that he forgot about Bran when writting this scene. :)

Has GRRM ever done corrections to later editions of the books to fix things, like Jordan has done in WoT? Or does he prefer to let the errors stay as they are?

I believe George has never corrected any text from the books. Some of the discrepancies he even claims to be intentional, to reflect different perceptions or missconceptions from the POVs.

There was, however, a correction from the appendixes. The Targaryen genealogy from the appendixes of the first AGOT editions had Viserys II being the fourth brother of Daeron I and Baelor the Blessed, instead of their uncle. After the publication of The Hedge Knight it was noted that this made impossible for him to be the grand-grandfather of Baelor Breakspear (unless we started having people father sons at ten), so the genealogies were changed.

my GoT is the one published this year with Sean Bean on the cover and no, it doesn't mention Bran also.

I have the same edition. I actually hadn't even noticed Bran's omission till it was pointed out in this thread.

I have to say that I love that he has been involved in the series and is relatively responsive to inquisitive (and probably infuriating) fans. It's really good to have something of an authority given all the speculation of fans.

I was somewhat curious about this myself. In fact, I had to go back and reread that scene to see if I had somehow missed it.

We know Bran was at the dinner, and even that he was at the high table - he remembers it in ACOK.

It's good to know Bran was there. I'll have to look for that when I read ACOK.
