CrypticWeirwood Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 They tried to give Emilia Clarke and Harry Lloyd the purple eyes, but they didn't look very good on film and caused them too much irritation/pain so they dropped it.Martin himself said that he shouldn't have bothered giving every character specific eye colors.I don’t understand why they didn’t just digitally swap them out for the bookishly correct colors during post-production. This is quite easy to do. Is it though? And if it is easy, is it cheap? To have to change eye colour everytime a character is on screen sounds rather messy.
