Ser Monte

Release date

I know there was a thread about this but it is so buried I can't seem to find it. Maybe I'm in the wrong forum but I swear Ran's book was called this. Is there any eta on the release date of your compendium now that we know when Dance is coming?

He said the manuscript was due to the publishers by year's end. Assuming that deadline is met, the book would probably come out in mid to late 2012.

We're looking for a final draft at the end of the year, and apparently George has been told that means a publication next year. Exciting. :) Although honestly it would not surprise me if they decide to wait until 2013. We'll see. :)

According to Anne Groell at Bantam:

"Likely next Christmas... A gorgeous 4-C hardcover."

I'm assuming that means 'this' Christmas, if Bantam are already listing it.

Also according to Anne Groell at Bantam:

"Yeah, I work a year ahead of the rest of the world. 2013."

So October 2013. I guess the 2012 catalogue listing is a mistake.

Damn. Got excited when I followed Jussi's link, and then it moves back more than a year. So still a very long way off then this book.

I believe the book is done text-wise (or almost so) but there's more work to be done with artists and assembling the final product. A book like this, which is non-standard in size with lots of colour illustrations, also requires a lot more lead-time in assembling and printing than a standard novel.
