My plan is to drive down on Friday, August 12th. He's informed me that DC is a 20 minute metro ride from him. I don't think very many of us are going to WorldCon this year (although I surely will in Chicago next year) so we'll be around. Just throw up the date you're interested in right in the title. Other than that, it's up to you "natives". I'm buffering my weekend with at least a day off on each end, so, there's no preference from me. Have not been able to get an answer as to which day would work better for them to get me into DC, or if it makes a difference to them at all.
