Westeros
And another casting has now been revealed by James Hibberd of EW (who scores a hat-trick, with three casting announcement scoops in one day)! Joining Carice van Houten, Stephen Dillane, and Oliver Ford Davies is actor Liam Cunningham, late of Starz’s now-cancelled Camelot. This, paired with Dillane having been in the film King Arthur (in the role of Merlin), suggests Camelot actor Clive Standen was absolutely on the mark when he said a Camelot actor and another one who’d been in some other Arthurian production were being cast.Cunningham, an Irish actor and veteran of stage and screen, has been involved in a number of genre productions besides Camelot; including Dog Soldiers, the remake of Clash of the Titans, and Centurion.Visit the Site! Selmy
He looks almost exactly how I pictured Davos.
Francis Buck
He actually looks nothing like I pictured Davos, but if he's a good actor then I could care less (and by the time I watch the second season I'll probably be picturing him when I read the books). Maria26
I'm so freaking happy about Liam being cast as Davos. He's a great actor and I'm sure he's gonna nail the role. Best casting news so far.

Spionkop
...something wrong with that? How much less could you care, are indicating that you could care less because you care very much and are excited?
Dalfiatach
Ah, he's the actor who played the priest in that extraordinary scene in Hunger, I knew the face was familiar.Good call
Ishuäl
I thought Clash of the Titans and Camelot were both, well, let's just say, not to my taste, but I can't seem to remember him from either. I'm sure he'll do a great job though, he really looks the part (even though I have always pictured Davos as Gary Oldman) :)

But yeah Liam is in both though he only had small parts.

Ishuäl
Cool, the beard belongs to Davos like... an onion belongs on a ship?
Glyndwr
He is an excellent actor & I have to be honest that apart from Cersie I have been very happy with the casting. The latest editions to season 2 have been brilliant choices in my opinion.
groovatronic
I am very excited to see how this actor brings Davos to life. In the books Davos is one of my favorite characters, and he has potential to be fan favorite on the show as well
Brush Guy
Liam lives just around the corner from me! Him and my dad play cards together.... That's surreal.
Knight Of The North
Best casting choice I've seen in a while. Saw him in The Wind That Shakes the Barley, and boy, can he act.
LordBloodravenI
Hmm ... Am I the only one who thought Viggo Mortenaon would have made a great Davos? It would continue the tradition of the first season of casting a Lord of the Rings actor in a major role. On-topic though, I think Cunnigham will make a great Seaworth, he was good in Hunger.
