(Book Spoilers) The Kingsguard

I've been wondering what they'll do with the Kingsguard.

Spoilers through AFFC.

At the end of season 1 the Kingsguard comprises:

Ser Jamie Lannister - Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

Sandor Clegane - Rory McCann

Ser Meryn Trant - Ian Beattie

Ser Arys Oakheart - ...

Ser Mandon Moore - ...

Ser Boros Blount - ...

Ser Preston Greenfield - ...

While the following would be Kingsguard appear in ACOK:

Ser Loras Tyrell - Finn Jones

Ser Balon Swann - ...

Ser Osmund Kettleblack - ...

My expectations for Season 2 are:

Ser Arys Oakheart - Mentioned by name only, when sending Myrcella off, but he doesn't necessarily need to appear in a role prominent enough to justify casting him beyond an extra. Then they can cast someone in the role for Season 4/5 when they get to AFFC (assuming the story still matches the books by then). His scene with Sansa would be great, but I don't think it's vital that the scene is included, or if it is, that Oakheart be the one talking with her.

Ser Mandon Moore - I expect to see him cast, as his role in the Blackwater is very important. However, if David and Dan know that it is of little consequence that it was Mandon that does the deed, then Tyrion could be injured in some other way instead, meaning casting Mandon is unnecessary. Assuming that it is important, then I would expect to see him cast.

Ser Boros Blount - I don't think it's necessary to cast him, the fact that it's Blount that surrenders Tommen, is removed, then reinstated, isn't ultimately that important, and changing the plot slightly so that it's an unnamed lackey or even the already-cast Meryn wouldn't throw things out too much, and would probably be worth it to save the money that would be spent casting him.

Ser Preston Greenfield - All we need here is to see an extra in Kingsguard armour pulled off a horse, or even just someone saying that he was pulled off a horse. I think we can say with confidence that Preston won't be cast.

Ser Balon Swann - Doesn't need to be cast, and even if he ends up being important, I don't think it's necessary to cast him just yet.

Ser Osmund Kettleblack - I expect to see him cast, as the Kettleblacks play a small but very important role in the story going forward, but I can easily imagine them knocking the brothers down to two, or even just to Osmund.

So, In my opinion, Mandon Moore and Osmund Kettleblack will be cast, while the rest of the uncast Kingsguard will remain as extras. Hopefully Beattie will be back as Meryn, as I think he did a great job with the small role he had in Season 1. I'd like to see all of them cast (sans Preston), but I think it's very unlikely to happen. I'll also note that chances are high I've forgotten something vitally important that one of these men did that would justify casting them.

What do you guys expect?

I want Balon cast and absorbing the other roles of the kingsguard. He starts as a kingsguard, then is taken down in the riot but manages to survive and then escorts Tommen but is attacked by Tyrion's men and he gets injured fighting them then miraculously shows up in Dorne with Myrcella, has an affair with the extremely sexy Arianne, and then kills Areo, decides crowning Myrcella is wrong and kills Arianne and Darkstar. Then comes back and continues to be awesome.

Or, they can just cast him in his regular, not-very-important role. But what's the fun in that?

To be serious I don't really think any of the others are needed but I want Balon cuz he's awesome and I want Boros because it's awesome to watch him suck/be a food tester.

I would love to see Ray Stevenson play any one of the three Kettleblacks (gods I love their last name!!!). (that's two different links y'all)

I'll admit, I'd just love to see him in GoT. He is a large part of what made HBO's "Rome" so awesome (it had nothing to do with the horrible history the show presented). Of course, I would also love to see Kevin McKidd have some role on the show as well, I just haven't figured out where yet.
