I just couldn't get over not only the fact that they let him off not that they let him play when he shaved his head but that they never looked into the fact that his mate died from exactly the same drug cocktail that he was addicted too.

So he can play a game very well big effing deal it is JUST A GAME letting him off doesn't save lies or improve society in any way at all.

Hubby quoted woosha saying he'd still have him back!!! (before this latest arrest, mind you)

I'm just surprised anyone thinks he's reformed, I dont think they ever do, i think they stay addicted, and hide it more.

I will admit to life experiences that could predjudice my views

I honestly have a problem with how we tend to hero worship our atheletes, to me it makes no sense. I mean yes they are great at what they do and provide us with lots of entertainment but that doesn't mean they should get a free pass. Also in re to AFL it disgusts me that people like cousins get given so many chances and yet an aboriginal player gets caught speeding or is drunk after a great win and it is made into a federal case.

even in junior sport, also-rans get put aside for the kid with "talent" in the important games, then the "stars" say "i never wanted to be a role model" It should be taught that the responsibilities go with the rights, in sport, same as real life

One thing that gets overlooked in the Cousins story is that it seemed to be general knowledge around Perth about his drug problems for years before it became official. I remember being told of events indicative of drug use by Cousins and one other Eagles player about ten years ago. One wonders what the Eagles did (or didn't do) as they must have had suspicions at the very least.

Much like the players involved, the clubs should not get the 'free pass' either.

Craig Thompson- guilty or not? If he's forced to quit and we have early elections, ALP will be lucky to do any better than they did in Queensland last week.

I must say, there are some general indications that may be interpreted as suggesting Thompson is guilty. The coverups, delays and the ambiguity of the eventual fwa report all point to guilt, if viewed from a coalition perspective of course.

Not sure Arya misuse is the real question and since the union seems to have said that it was fine for him to do so............I think it shows abuse by the union more than anything else

Yes he got cash advances and hired hookers but in the shady world of union politics well obviously the union thought it was apropriate. I think everyone is currently forgetting that no charges have been laid not by state police or by federal police thus how can he be guilty?
