We lost that crown to the rabble down South when they lashed out for the Biggest Ego In Australian Sport, but I'm taking that as a sign of displeasure in Ange's boutique foreign imports anyway.

So, any random Aussie n00bs who don't venture into the BwB threads might not know about a Sydney meet up scheduled for Friday Night 09.12.11.

Come check out the thread in the BwB section. Attractions include no less than 2 international boarders (SJohn & ithanos) and a few interstaties as well.

Hey Gillio, didn't realise you were a fellow West Aussie .

Yesterday was pretty crazy weather-wise but it's perfect today...I'm off to the Shield game!

As for A-League developments...I'm actually pretty happy with Glory's performances to date. The only really annoying game was the SFC game at home - we should have won that one easily.

Any Neil Gaiman fans among the Sydney group?

I've got tickets to this http://files.neilgaiman.com/mirror/111206020609/www.factorytheatre.com.au/events/2011/12/28/neil-gaiman.html but Nat just bailed on me because he unreasonably thinks that work and paying rent is more important than being geeky with me.

If I don't find someone else who wants to come I'll have to resort to forcing Phil to take me and that will be unpleasant for both of us.

If only I was sydney then.

Australia's premier political stat nerd just got his hands on the OECD's latest global income report - and apparently we're awesome.

Graphs! The article is Interesting too I guess :)

And I'm now done with work for the week, thankfully. Looking forward to seeing people tomorrow night.

Clandestine Melbourne BwB gathering held last night. Involved no less than two meat swords. That's the only way I can describe it. Went to a lovely place called Baba (point in favour for Melbourne v Sydney food fight)

Anyone who missed out and wants to hear about our Game of Thrones blu ray/ dvd release party (March 2012) needs to get onto Facebook and friend me, cos I don't know how to work this site!

xx

I cannot claim to of weilded the aforementioned "meat swords". Those honours go to Ser Camaris and Luce's SO (the other Chris). They both weilded their "meat swords" with elegance, but the way Ser Camaris weilded his, it was as if he had been doing it for years! ;)
