brook
I changed my kindle registration to my mail-forwarder address so I get the US range/prices. I've heard of people just using random addresses though.Which reminds me, I need to work out what to do to get my kindle fixed 'cause I think one of my boys must have stood on my bag at some point and the screen is cracked.Does anyone know how to do that without a reciept? I really don't wanna fess up to Phil that I broke it in less than a month!Hope everyones day went well, despite the fact that my family is about a zillion different types of dysfunctional I had a great day, ate way too much and got way too spoiled (although not as much as the boys!). Was a good Perth Christmas weather-wise as well (I hear that Melbourne was typically dire in this regard?).Looking forward to the Test Match tomorrow  .In other news: Glory suck. Katie E.
Hello All,The Boxing Day test has just started. I've always loved watching cricket. I listen to the ABC coverage on the radio and have the TV on. It's just a pity they aren't in sync. I'm missing Peter Roebuck's commentary this summer. Al least we still have Skull.Katie

stormborne
belated compliments of the season ya'll!we've had a relatively quiet one this year with only one family to visit as mine are up visiting my brother in nhulumbuy and trying to avoid hurricanes. had a skype with them and have to say, as much as i really bitch and moan about xmas day being a pain in the ass, i did miss the old moots :Pevery year we give our dogs presents, actually, they seemed this year to have more than anyone else. so in the morning we gave them one of their presents each to unwrap - we started off with a squeeky red ball for jayeson (he only likes balls) and a squeeky fluffy pink pig for Leo (who really only loves soft toys). jayesey loved his ball, so much so that when we gave him another present later that day, he refused to take the red ball out of his mouth to unwrap the present, and instead sat there staring at us dumbly before eventually going and sitting on his bed and munching on his red ball. i spose he isnt the smartest toool in the shed...leo on the other hand, as soon as the christmas tree goes up and theres presents under that tree, he's figuring out a way to get in and unwrap stuff, whether its for him or not.anyhoo - laoise, stubs - Aspall Draught Suffolk Cyder. Found the goods in Dan Murpheys - ithanos ---- if you can find it in NZ - really worth a go!

Screaming Turkey Ultimate
I am once again reminded of why I love the 'burbs of Western Sydney so much: the endearing bogans. A few of my friends and I sit down in a booth at McDonald's to eat (a grave mistake), when, naturally, the retards in the booth next to us decide to start ripping on me due to my red hair. We sling insults at each other for a few minutes until my entourage and I decide to leave. But then something glorious happens: my friend, clutching his half-eaten burger, plants it right into one of their faces as he walks past. They sit there stunned for a while and then pursue us outside, demanding an apology. I try and play down the situation, being the civil soul that I am, but my friend who brandished his meal in the name of a good cause stands right in their faces without fear. Eventually I dragged him away from the douchebags, who prove themselves rather cowardly and ineffectual in the end, and we proceed to drive off into the night as they sling a drink at the car. All in all I'd say the day was ours. Not sure what the point of this story was, but it was highly entertaining to experience.

G.S
Second reply.I am glad to hear everyone had a good chrissy, as some of you know I spent mine in melbourne helping the SO move there for a job.Naturally having family there I called and asked if it was possible to stay for a few weeks, Mum said yes we were welcome she would enjoy the company, so I tell her we are leaving very early on the 16th so Ann can start work monday 19th of dec and that I will have to be back in Adelaide by the 3rd of Jan but Ann would need to stay until she finds herself a place. We arrived after a leisurely but long drive at around 7pm and for the first few days everything seems to be ok until Ann tells me my mother has been trying to split us up!I am a bit wary about this since my exwife had told similar stories, this time however it is totally true. To cut a long story short no we are not welcome at all and my mother has turned into a malicious sadistic bitch! As near as I can figure things she is in the early stages of dementia and my brothers wife is working on it something vicious. While there I found out that all the good stuff I have done for her she now credits to my brother and all the bad stuff he has done is now accredited to me!We had a raging fight 4 days before xmas with her spewing some incredibly vile lies and some piss poor excuses for her actions. I kept saying to Ann that I was not responsible for what was coming and she was a tad confused by what I meant. So xmas day comes and I place mums present on her chair for when she gets up and she decides that she needs to talk to Ann and only after Ann reminds her of what xmas is supposed to be about does she decide to give me the present she got me! The big problem with this is that once again I haqve upstaged her by doing what is right so she is now even more pissed off at me.On Xmas day she leaves for my brothers place with my nephew and they are not gone 5 mins when the hail storms start ruining the xmas barbie at my brothers and damaging the cars etc and I repeat that I was not responsible. Funny though how Anns car that was parked outside my mothers place didn't get a scratch on it.I confess I was expecting something like this to happen since everytime someone has screwed me over since I became a priest they seem to get bad things happening to them. Weird I know but also true.So anyway on the 26th we headed off to a freinds place in mooroopna and spent the night with me giving massages and talking and getting a rest from mum. next day we worked in her garden and then came back to melbourne.Got back to adelaide just before new years and am now waiting for my hernia operation.
