Hi there, I find ASOS the biost of the novels so far.

There are so many revealings, and so mane surprises in it, which makes them fantastic read.

I mean

Robbs plans in the west, which were messed up by Edmure

Tywins plans for building a trap for Ned, which were messed up by Jaimy

Lyssay reviealings in the end

The Bloodwedding

John voted for Lord Commander

Joffreys and Tywins deathes

Undead Cat

Are very fantastic ideas in this book.

I actually made a list of people who died in ASoS, because I started to lose sight. But the paper got so crowded I can't even properly read it anymore.

There were so many twists and surprising revelations in this book that it didn't even matter I had a couple of things spoiled, because there were still so many things I did not know about that it made up for it. My favourite and/or most intense moments were:

Samwell killing an Other and a wight

The treason in Crastor's keep

Jon and Ygritte (the conversations, of course)

Learning about the wildlings and their culture (stealing women) and giants

Samwell walking up on Hodor and Bran in the castle and the whole "mines of Moria" allegories including the door and the well and the thumping sounds

Mormont's death ;-(

The raven flying from the kettle (god I had so hoped the raven would return!)

Ghost returning to Jon!

Stannis showing up to save the day at the wall

Jamie and Brienne - priceless, especially when he turned back to save her!

Jamie's POV and learning to like him in his constant search for redemption

Arya and the Hound (quite the contrast to Sansa and the Hound)

Arya killing Polliver and the Tickler

Arya getting Needle back!

Beric Dondarrion and Thoros - creep, creep, creepy!

Catelyn at the Red Wedding, soooo painful to watch ;-(

Lysa and Petyr having sex - EEEEW!

Lysa flying out of the moon door

Sansa and Tyrion getting married!

Tyrion's thoughts during Joffrey's weddings

Joffrey's death - just wished I could have enjoyed it more

Lord Tywin gracelessly dying on the loo (not shitting gold, in the end)

Red Viper vs Gregor Clegane!

Drogon burning the slaver

Jorah and Selmy being discovered

...and I bet I have forgotten several epic moments.

Wow Ygrette, you said it all! Totally my favorite book so far too. I am starting book 4 tomorrow, I hope I like it as well as #3. The Red Wedding was phenomenal, what a shock! Very sad too, and obviously Catelyn was confused, scared, angry, devastated, etc... but true to her character in her final moment she avenges her sons death with Jingles and then frets about her hair.
