Theory regarding Dany, Asshai and the rest of the Meereen gang

If George says parts beyond Qarth won't be seen, I take him at his word. Dany will head west, by air or sea. Probably even a few small but crucial stretches on land.

She could go to the Dosh Khaleen, north of her current position, or wherever their winter home is. Get that confrontation over with quickly, then return to Meereen. Or she could go to Meereen with khalasar in tow, secure the Volantene ships, and set sail (or be kidnapped by Victarion and have her people sail after her). Those seem to be the two obvious paths at the moment.

Actually, we may not see the confrontation with the Dosh Khaleen in the series, or maybe toward the end, after giving up on Westeros. This would end up with her going to Asshai, but not actually seen as it is not part of the story being told presently.

The idea of her going west by going east was revealed before she went to Qarth. Her visit there fulfilled that part of the prophecy; she does not need to pass beyond the Jade Gates - that only gets her about halfway around the world; maybe less. She would have to go through lands uncharted so far and through as many chapters of travel material as Tyrion did in ADWD to get to the Iron Islands or Casterly Rock from Meereen. So who's up for that?
