He's running a new and exciting experiment in living without a home internet connection.

I don't understand. So .... he watches porn at work? Pax, that's just unprofessional.

ETA; Gonna try make it down for EB's visit, but I can't commit. I had similar plans for the last time ithanos was in town. This job is weird. Apparently just because they are paying me more they now expect me to show up and do lots of work. This combined with various emergencies facilitated by my godsdamned thrice cursed family has meant I haven't been able to make plans anymore than a day in advance for the last four months or so.

If you have not heard from Paxter already, be aware that Eyelesbarrow is hitting Sydney on Friday 13th July. There might be a little meet and greet on Friday, and perhaps a more formal (hah!) gathering on Sat/Sun.

So far the highlight of the bwb meet over the weekend, other than meeting Rinzy, was when we went to the Taronga Zoo and saw a Plain Rat threesome at the nightlife section. Paxter was convinced all three were male rats as well

I think a progress pic of Rinzy's rehabilitating hair is long overdue. ;)

Also, somewhat emo at missing EB's visit.

Hello, Aussies. So far, I'm doing a good job being alive in your land of deadly critters.

I was at the Great Barrier Reef yesterday, where I totally lost all my poise and dignity. The sea was very rough and almost all the journos in the trip, including moi, threw up. We are soft folks when we are away from our computers. Coup d'etats, military takeovers, category 5 hurricanes - I'm a trooper. Small boat in an open sea in rough weather? Fuck no. (The Aussie hosts told us Cairns is sunny! LIARS!!!!) But I still did it, snorkelled a bit. The reef was great! I'm glad I went there, even if my guts were in misery.

I haven't seen a poisonous spider yet. I did pet a snake though, but I told her she'd make a good handbag and her owner frowned at me.

I would love to see all of you on Friday and over the weekend. I hope you get to make it Brady. I promise I won't have any big spiders in my pockets. :)

PS Stubby: I just found out very recently that I have family near Perth. In Bunbury. If I visit them in the future, I'll drop by your city. :)

Heh. Bunbury is a good 2 to 2.5 hours by road from Perth, but it is 'near' in the context of the rest of WA.

If and when you decide to come shoot me a PM to sort stuff out. :)

Haha, I'll try to get a picture up at some point, it's growing reasonably fast :)

I'm annoyed about missing EB's visit, if only coz I'm leaving the city two days before she gets here. Two days! Oh well, off to the Gold Coast for me :D

It was great meeting some of the Sydney BwB, hoping to be back sometime within the year, hopefully meet some more.

Oh and I saw more Plains Rats yesterday, but no threesomes going on this time :P

Right folks, it's time to call the NSW BwB banners:

Link to Eyelesbarrow's Sydney BwB meet thread

The plan is essentially to have dinner and drinks this Friday and Saturday night. Representations have been made that we would show Eyelesbarrow a good time in Sydney and we will not be reneging! Fully expecting (nay certain) that Screaming Turkey, Brady, morningsword, Jeor, sh_wulff, brook, stormborne and other missing-in-action NSW BwBers will be in attendance on at least one night. Also expecting Neal and possibly ithanos. And of course if there are any Sydneysiders new to the board - you are more than welcome to attend, just post in the above thread.

If I can make it you Sydney people have no excuse :)

Agreed!

And we really could do with some new faces at an Aussie BwBers so I implore any lurkers/new boarders to come and say hello. We really aren't that scary and we don't drink that much :leaving:.

Yeah right....about the drinking, well I am on the bus tonight but unfortunatly only as far as melbourne, ohh well EB maybe another time.

The missus was sick for the last 2 weeks so was constantly online and used up all my internet credit! first time that has ever happened. Extra data blocks was hideously expensive though 1 gig would have cost me more than my monthly 9 gig!
