Screaming Turkey went to the bar for drinks where he was hit on by a middle aged bear. Before we knew it, they were inside the cage, dancing. One of the BWB guys I think it was Horza - asked me if I think in English or Filipino, and my reply was it depends on the situation. I swear mostly in English but if I'm surprised and reflex sometimes gets me and I mix up my language. That was one of those situations and I was like, Fuck it, 'anyare?! (What is happening?) in my head. One moment, we were doing robot dance moves, then suddenly one of us is inside the cage. The gay guy took his top off and was all sweaty and gyrating and thrusting in front of Screaming Turkey, who was still talking to him while dancing. That was a head scratcher for me. I mean, what do you talk about while cage dancing?

So I was looking back at this post from EB and considered this section woefully inaccurate. A more detailed, complete and accurate recounting of this particular event is set out below:

The Bear and the Ranga Fair

A bear there was,

A bear, A BEAR!

All black and brown,

And covered with hair!

"Oh come" they said,

"Oh come to the fair!"

"The fair?" said he,

"But I'm a bear!

All black and brown,

And covered in hair!"

Oh! sweet he was,

And freckled and fair,

The ranga with red,

Red hair! Red hair,

The ranga with red,

in his hair!

The bear saw the red,

Of his long curly hair!

The Bear! The Bear!

All black and brown,

And covered with hair!

He saw the red,

Of his long curly hair,

He stared and roared,

And sighted it there!

Red in his long curly hair!

"Oh I'm a ranga,

And I'm pure and fair,

I'll never dance,

With a hairy bear,

A bear! A bear!

I'll never dance,

With a hairy bear!"

The bear, the bear!

Lifted him high,

into the air!

The bear, the bear!

"I called for a knight!

But you're a bear!

A bear! A bear,

All black and brown,

And covered in hair!"

He kicked and wailed,

The ranga so fair,

But he stroked the red locks,

Of his hair!

His hair! His hair!

He stroked the red locks of his hair,

Of his hair!

Then he sighed and squealed,

And kicked the air,

He sang: "My bear so fair, so fair"

And off they went,

The bear! The bear!

And the ranga fair!

Truly, this was a masterpiece.

I told the guy from the outset that I was straight, but I suppose he just couldn't resist my radiant locks. :dunno:

Hmm don't think I can do next Saturday lunch or dinner . Unless dinner is followed by a boozefest in the Surry Hills area in which case I'll be around.

Boooo. I do get into sydney on friday night (probably about 6:30-7pm I'll be in town) so if you're free for a drink let me know.

For saturday, shall we say Din Tai Fung for dinner and then drinks somewhere?

He is and isn't it a pity he was the only politician on the show willing to actually talk rather than BS around his answers. Seriously given that only one word in ten either makes sense or is understandable he still spoke more sense than the others combined!

I had forgotten what it was like to have a real person as a candidate, however unsuitable he may be he is not one of the "robots" of the major parties.

Emerson and Brandis really aren't my favourites from either party, so he didn't exactly have a high bar to jump over. They did a good job of demonstrating the supposed loss of manners with all the constant yelling over each other though.

I'm out of Sydney this weekend, so can't make this one as my first Sydney meet!

No problems karaddin, we'll post here when the next meet is on.

@GS: I'd actually pay some serious money to watch you versus Katter in a political debate!

Will do :)

I am down with this.

Excellent!

Sounds good. I'll probably go home first after the markets and then train it in. Someone let me know when to meet. :)

Double excellent. Time wise, I'm easy. 7pm? 8pm? When is best for everyone?

Hi guys, any Brisbane people here? We're moving there next year and trying to work out where to live. What are the good/liveable suburbs within about 20 to 30 minutes of the CBD? Thanks...

I'm a brisbane people. Most of brisbane is within 30mins of the city so might need to narrow it down a bit :) Anything in first three zones of public transport will put you within 20/30mins of the city, see here: http://translink.com.au/resources/tickets-and-fares/fares/zone-map.jpg. I'd just avoid Logan/Woodridge/Roachdale/Ipswich/Goodna/Redbank areas. Stick to Brisbane itself :)

Some other areas are nice but have really shitty public transport (but are within 10/20mins of city by car), like Kenmore.

Any specific questions just send me a PM or post here and i'll try and answer them.
