Jeyne Poole was in season 1 sitting next to Sansa in winterfell.

Yeah, I think she was there at the feast with Robert's big company. Maybe it'll turn out like Aimee Richardson with Myrcella, and that extra that was cast as Jeyne Poole will end up as "Arya Stark"! She had brown hair, so maybe!

As was stated above Jeyne was in season 1. I watched the DVD commentary and D&D were sure to point her out saying something like "Look there is Jeyne Poole; a lot of fans have written us asking about her, and she is in there. Many fans have asked since they know she is playing apart in the newest book ADWD." I paraphrased a little bit there but they pointed her out to make sure we all know they were aware the character was going to be showing up later. I also believe she made a brief appearance in S02 when Sansa became a women. Rose as Jeyne Poole is laughable, the show would be a joke if they did that.

Jenye pool wont be in theshow...

Theyll just use some random girl as fake arya... She doesnt have to be friend with sansa it was just crazier that way

It's important for Theon's story that it's a girl he knew from before.

But she's only in the sewing scene at Winterfell, right? She didn't go to King's Landing, did she? That screws things up, because the fake Arya should be coming up with Roose's army; she shouldn't already be in the north.

They can just say she was part of the household that went down to King's Landing, just offscreen.

Of course they can do this. It would just be awkward. How much easier would it have been to include one or two scenes with her in King's Landing in season 1?

It would take screen time for a plot that would only bear fruit four/five seasons later. Also, it's entirely possible that they didn't know of Jeyne's importance (since ADWD came out in 2011, and they would have been casting and filming season 1 in 2010).

Certainly, although it was pretty clear from AFFC that the fake Arya was Jeyne ("some steward's whelp," says Cersei) and that she'd be playing a part in ADWD. But I still think that a scene or two would have been good - they could always recast Jeyne.

you are very right, I really hope they use the same girl in future episodes, assuming the show goes that far, which im hoping it will. still it wouldn't matter too much if they just bring in some random to play Jeynes role as a pretender

I think they're going to use another actress for the role, but preferably someone similar-looking. It's so sexually disturbing and explicit that I doubt anyone but a porn star would agree to do it, someone who probably signed up for an extra is extremely unlikely to go through with it. Fortunately, it shouldn't be that hard to find a pretty dark-haired porn star who looks like 16. She could still be Jeyne Poole, it's not as if an actor swap is unheard when a background character becomes significant.

Oh! Nice! I couldn't remeber if she was there. I knew Tommen and Myrcella were there in Season 1, but were not shown a whole lot. I figured it would work out that way in case they cast them as someone else later, when they were more important. Not really sure.

Hopefully they will do the same with Jeyne. Minor character most of the time, though important in the end (or at least at this point). So they could pull someone else to play her, I think.

I definitely don't think Ros would work. I think she comes across as too bright and cheery to me. Jeyne (after finding out what happened to her) just seems sooo depressing and broken now. :( I couldn't see Ros filling that roll.

Part of the broken characteristic, I think, is since she was so young when she was pulled into this. Ros isn't as young. Being dragged into that story with her background, it wouldn't be as traumatizing for her as if she were a young girl in that situation.

I think it's more likely that Varys will send Ros over to spy on Dany. And Ros will take the place of Dany's dead handmaiden, Irri.

Oh, interesting thought! I could see it working, but for some reason I don't see Ros leaving Westeros.

Jeyne Poole was in the show but that detail was never pointed out to the audience and she was played by an unknown extra.

Now sure, they could recast her, and then introduce her as a character, but it still won't be as effective since the audience did not know her before.

This allows flexibility to D&D in that they could axe that entire plot if they want to, and I personally believe they will. As the tv show audience would have to suspend a lot of disbelief in order to accept it.

I think it was a missed opportunity to not involve her in Theon's arc this season. She could have been a girl from Winterfell who Ramsay (who by rights should have been included and revealed at the end of S2) has captured and taken a liking to. She then could've played a part in Theon's fake escape for false promises of being set free, and then towards the end of the season we could get some hints that Ramsay has plans for her.

As it is I think that she'll be introduced and fleshed out in season 4, and Ramsay will marry her as the conclusion of Theon's arc.

The fake-Arya plot doesn't need Jeyne Poole or anyone from Winterfell. They can just show how Ramsay kidnaps one girl from a nearby town at random, and claims she is Arya. I would prefer that, than shoehorning a Jeyne that had been in King's Landing with the Starks during the entire first season but we never saw.

I disliked the idea of Talisa playing Jeyne Poole. Apparently the widow Queen in the North has a claim to Winterfell? Not sure if that works.

And Ros playing a 12 year old girl was just stupid. Nobody would fall for that trick...Besides I hate the relation of Theon and Ros (what, she mocks him and makes him feel stupid, but then they run away together? Blagh).

Let Jeyne Poole be Jeyne Poole. She doesn't even need backstory, just an innocent girl passed as "Arya" whom Theon takes sympathy on and helps her.

I thought that it was kind of important that it was Jeyne Poole since she knew all the specific and intimate details of Winterfell and the Stark household because she was the daughter of the steward of Winterfell.
