RobertArrynSupporter
This may have been discussed already but I was wondering where GRRM got the inspiration to write about the White Walkers. He always has seemed to pull from history or mythology to write these novels (war of the roses, specific battles, Ragnarok as someone has posted recently). I just cant see the inspiraton for the White Walkers. When i read about them or see them on tv I can't help but think about Michael Crichtons old book, the Eaters of the Dead. I am half expecting to see Grendels mother pop up somewhere here. What do you think is the inspiration for the walkers?
