R+L=J...something is missing.

This is a theory has some serious holes in it. First, we have numerous account from Barristan and Connington about how near perfect Rhaegar is as a person and knight. So he "kidnaps" Lyanna Stark and then presumably rapes her to make Jon. Okay naysayers......if he didn't rape her and they were in "love", are we to believe that Lyanna Stark was the kind of person to let the ENTIRE land bleed and be destroyed on account of her. That doesn't add up either to me. If her and Rhaegar were in love then Lyanna, as a Stark, should have had enough within herself to tell Robert and her father that there was no kidnapping and to calm down.

So which is it........Is Rhaegar a kidnapping rapist even though he has been glorified thoughout the books or is Lyanna a selfish whore who let thousands of innocent people die on account of her crush?

First, there's no need to call a woman a whore only because she willingly have sex with a man. Sexist much?

Second, there's a thread (wait, 27 version) where a lot of people point to evidence. Your choice to believe it or not.

Third, there was another thread like yours.

Fourth, Connington? Yeah, men in love are such reliable sources when talking about who they love...

so, if R+L does not = J, what do you propose Lyanna is, because we know she somehow wound up in the tower of joy in Dorne, and we know she was with Rheagar. How do you propose explain that?

and for the record I think she was foolish and in love (as was Rheagar) so they behaved out of character and ran off like two young love birds.
